Vauxhall Nova 2.0 8v Itb Build part 42: the engine build. Before Forged internals are fit.

- This is my Vauxhall Nova 20ser individual throttle bodies build, I originally took ownership of the car as a 1.2i Spin on my 17 birthday and sold it when I was 19 to buy a GSI. It then went on to one of it's next owners who fit the 2.0 8v from the mk2 Astra GTE before I lost track of it for nearly 10 years. I then found the car for sale in a scrap yard in Scunthorpe and managed to rescue it and bring it back home and restore it to it's former glory.
My plans for the car so far is to aim for a fully forged build using 20XE pistons, rods and early crank with a 20ser ported and polished head with high lift cam, Vernier pulley, 45mm ITB'S and tubular exhaust manifold aiming for a 200+bhp N/A setup and a direct port Nitrous Oxide kit on top for the 1/4 mile days. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
i loved these engines back in the 90s wouldnd mind one in my B now tbh more reliable than the c20 etc

You use a metal gasket from 16v and everything is ok ?
Hi, nice video, I never thought that engine has that much potential, I wanted to ask, where did you bought the ITBs and all the necessary pieces to attach them to the head? Sorry if I committed a mistake in my English.

I have built and rallied a few of them.
Are they standard seh pistons? I run mine on weber 45s. Seh pistons, piper ast300 cam and 4 branch manifold. Approx 150bhp. Interested to hear what others are doing to up the power
In this they were now they are 20XE Mahle Pistons but only for the moment, due for an upgrade very soon. 👍

Alright boss how are you just wondering were and what did the bottom v pulley come from for alternator cheers as iv used the one off the 1.2 engine but had to weld a plate on for it to work but not tried and tested as engine not fully built yet many thanks Steve
I used the original 20SER bottom v pully that came with the engine. There is a bit of a clip on this in one of the uploads when I fit the SBD alternator kit. 👍 (Vauxhall Nova 2.0 on Individual Throttle bodies, Preps for the summer and shows) if that helps?
How did u do the change from distributor too coilpack?
I have ditched the standard ECU and I am using a DTA S40.

How much horsepower on this engine?I have similar setup ,but ITB's are only 38mm
I have not had it mapped yet hopefully that will happen over the next month or two. But I am eventually hoping for somwhare in the region of 200-220bhp. 👍
