I used to main beach boy for a bit. Just fixing the bugs and adding an advanced dash like 6p will do WONDERS for the stand and might make it as a solid choice if the moves and pulls were actually consistent. Of course, that ain’t happening. :(
I think the fishing line extends your hitbox like hermit purple does. It could make sense since in the anime the line was extremely durable and could let force go throughout it to hit others. Pretty sure hermit purple could too.
The rod itself for some forsaken reason also extend your hitbox, which means you have a super large hitbox similar to Scary Monster without anything to compensate when Scary Monster has higher speed and the best passive in the game : Stand Crash immunity
That last fight and the hitbox jank reminds me of the first elder scrolls games where it's up to dice rolls whether or not you actually hit the opponent.
Build or bust: Purple Haze Vamp If you end up doing this underrated god of a stand spec combo here are some combos: freeze + bulb punch + suck ground bulb + bulb throw + stingy eyes (Its gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood trust me)

By beating the mih with beach boy (do remember that he didn't know how to use it properly for the most of the match) eclipse yet again proved that he can destroy any yba player when he is full beast mode.
as a person who does actually main beach boy, i've tried it with just about every spec and to me the only 2 good specs for it are pluck and boxing, but if you want more health to not get 1 shot by everything use boxing, also never really pull when their stand is on, it just pulls them for a free barrage. also the speed for mih as well as the huge hitbox for rod slap makes mih one of the easiest stands to beat with beach boy. but the hardest stand to beat by far with it is scr, the double barrage and damage redirection letting them get close, plus the cw makes it able to use its barrages anyway, so scr is painful and mih isn't so much that hard, but the only way to easily beat a beach boy user is to just rush and barrage them while moves are on cooldown
gotta disagree, i reached rank 6 on the leaderboards with hamon bb, after trying boxing and finding it didnt do much damage. also you forgot to mention normal rod pull should only be used on ragdolled opponents since its the only way you can land it

0:59 This happens to me almost EVERY round. It's because the mih dash has a lingering hitbox, and this crap ALWAYS catches me. Fortunately I use pluck so most of the time I can use Arial Ace.
I actually mained this stand and its rlly op if you know the combo. What you do is: auto pull (against bad players they wont pb it) + freeze + pierce + rod throw Then you rush the guy and rod slap him. When hes on the floor you do the manual pull and can suck their blood which is like a total of 50% of their hp gone and your combo is basically already back. Great stand if your enemy doesnt know how to pb otherwise your pretty screwed. Oh yeah you also have the laser eyes which you can use to ragdoll the enemy and then rod pull them from the floor so they cant pb. You can do this with sharp teeth and rod slap too. Good luck to people who will try this.
Fun fact: I know how to fix the time stop and freeze bugs. These happen because these moves anchor the opponent, which completely stops physics simulation. Since roblox client sides physics, what the player sees and the actual locations of hitboxes is different. Server-side attacks such as projectiles will miss because what the server sees and the client sees are different. A way to fix this problem is to instead weld all of the victims parts to an unanchored part (to stop their animations) then use a body position and a bodygyro to stop their motion (put these in the root part) this alleviates the problem because it doesn't use anchor, meaning client and server physics simulations will not stop.
As a vampire main, it is so agonizing when 1. The freeze doesn't correctly show where the player is 2. They can just fucking teleport out with tp dash or timeskip, despite literally being frozen I use WS vamp and my combos entirely rely on freeze.. well freezing the person in place. It ruins any chance I have of comboing them if they just teleport out of a move that is meant to hold them in place.
I used ws vamp for only a day and it doesn't really rely on freeze on the way you're talking. You need to rely on burst fire since it has low cooldowns and can either start a combo and confirm a spirit disc and extend a combo. If you meant you rely on your freeze to HIT the burst fire, it makes more sense but its unnecessary. You just need to get 1-3 m1s and use the burst fire, the m1s can stun long enough to confirm it and by consequences confirm a spirit disc. Freeze just acts like a regular block breaker and can hold the enemy in place until you wait for cooldown for the burst fire! Burst Fire, Spirit Disc, 1 M1(optional), Barrage, 1-2 M1s, Freeze, keep m1ing even if they block because freeze will just hold them in place for your burst fire, burst fire, life drain, acidic spray, spirit disc (im not sure if it will be off cooldown after it but i think it may be and can confirm a barrage because of stun), barrage and just use m1s. Very op combo and it's true most of the time (sometimes they can lag out of burst fire the second time u use it)

My point is that, that combo wouldn't work without freeze working. (tldr cool op combo don't work sometimes cause vamp freeze doesn't work)
with the "auto combo" start it with something else, like blood suck or the vamp eyes, with rod slap they stay on the ground longer so its harder to time it

It's not better than other specs. Eclipse himself in a Q&A video said that there are better combiations of spec with GER than Pluck, and that it isnt worth it.

Remove flash freeze and add 4 low damage attacks.1 "Frozen body"-grab the enemy , make random limb useless for 20s and 27dmg or make fighting style skills more weaker and 27dmg,can be perfect blocked ,reference from white album fight in which Mista lose his finger in the beginning of the fight.2 "skates slash"-white album charge up to the enemy hit the enemy do 34dmg and set them flying away, can be perfect block.3 "Frozen stand"- grab the enemy , make random stand ability usless or make stand ability weaker ,can be perfect block, refrence to how golden experience punched white album and end up freezing his hand becuse of it.4"Ice ambush"- From the ground you create small chunk of ice which spawn below the enemy and do 33,5 dmg, good if enemy try to run away, or if they have already use their dash already, it works like void surprise of stand cream. btw if you use life drain while detonating someone with kq/btd, they actually still take damage from the explosion, so you do like 60 damage AND get blood, also works with using freeze at the last second and getting an easy stray cat bubble hit

Hey @Eclipse about your stand review. If you going to talk about "white album" can you add this idea about how to fix it. Remove flash freeze and add 4 low damage attacks.1 "Frozen body"-grab the enemy , make random limb useless for 20s and 27dmg or make fighting style skills more weaker and 27dmg,can be perfect blocked ,reference from white album fight in which Mista lose his finger in the beginning of the fight.2 "skates slash"-white album charge up to the enemy hit the enemy do 34dmg and set them flying away, can be perfect block.3 "Frozen stand"- grab the enemy , make random stand ability usless or make stand ability weaker ,can be perfect block, refrence to how golden experience punched white album and end up freezing his hand becuse of it.4"Ice ambush"- From the ground you create small chunk of ice which spawn below the enemy and do 33,5 dmg, good if enemy try to run away, or if they have already use their dash already, it works like void surprise of stand cream. Do you like this idea?
