I had to come here to see for myself. After all these years, my little brother (now 22) messaged me that this was coming next week.
We had a friend who was diagnosed with cancer back when the first one came out. We didnt have much, but I saved up enough money to buy a wii and the OG endless ocean. Me and my brother spent countless hours playing this with our friend at his house not knowing what the end outcome would be. We had fun all the way up to the end.
I cant yell you the wave of emotion that swept over me hearing the music. I do know that our friend is in a better place, hopefully playing his own endless ocean. I thank you for remembering those of us who played the old game and whole heartedly invite others that are on the fence to play this game. It truly is a tranquil experience like none other. For those who know, you know whats in store for us! I know this might not be seen but once again thank you!

I lost 2 good friends when I was a lad. One was shot....(So was I, in a drive by) He died holding my left hand (my right arm had Two bullets in it and was basically limp) He was scared, so was I....but I did my best to let him know he was a brave, honorable friend who stood up against the local group (rhymes with rang). This group harassed us relentlessly..... I can only say the members of this group who did it.... No longer walk this Earth....
If celtic woman or hayley westerna is not in the game its a missed opportunity for nostalgia

I highly suggest trying the other games after this one. Blue World is my personal favourite. They are a spectacle not to be missed.

I think it's cool how a game like Endless Ocean is getting another chance to see the light of day. I love it when Nintendo revisits their more obscure and underutilized series, like what they did with Famicom Detective Club, Advance Wars, and Another Code. Here's hoping they'll continue to do that with their other overlooked and underrated games/series in the future!

Heh, that's how the game starts is not enough oxygen, but as you progressive and level up, you'll be able to stay underwater for more than 2 hours of course.
I'm so excited for this I'm going to cry, truly. Blue World for me through one of the hardest times in my life and this game looks amazing. I can't wait to share this game with my kiddo.

Finding the abyss in the original Wii version felt so epic.
It comes with a head clamp assecoire that tightens the deeper you dive for a more immersive experience.

Still hoping There is the aquarium like in the second game at least now we know its not just a rogue like diving game but There is a Story !
Nintendo’s actually giving this game some decent marketing. Only 2 weeks since the last trailer.

@@tolstartheking While I do think that both those series deserve more than they get, there's a *lot* more IP that Nintendo could be marketing and boosting. I'm talking broader than just Star Fox or F-Zero. Starfy, Pilotwings, Kururin, Chee Chai Alien, Fossil Fighters, Magical Vacation, Pushmo, Excitebike, Rhythm Heaven, Punch Out: those are just a few examples. There's definitely quite a bit more, but it might be a bit much to list them all here. 😅

i remember diving in the ruins at the start for the first time and encountering the shark there ....still a vivid memory even though its been years . same with helping the dolphine getting back to its group at this specific stone formation or seeing manaties for the first time.

Weird that the fish glowing is actually worked into the narrative as "algae". I REALLY hope it becomes a toggle after you complete the story; finding new fishies for your encyclopedia using personal intuition was part of the fun.

Been here since the original Endless Ocean. This series has brought me so much happiness over the last several years. There are no words to describe how excited I am for this game.

Anyone who says the Switch isn't capable of "good graphics" and such should probably look at this game. The fish move and react realistically too, I'm impressed.

Yes! Some really solid info! I have a really good feeling for how this game is gonna be now, and I'm excited!
One big negative, though, is the apparent lack of going on land and any animals that could be found there. There's not even any penguins or seals! Who's idea was this!? 😭
Still some interesting stuff, though. Especially with the glowing creatures and the missions for finding mythicals. The animals following you mechanic is adorable too, ngl.
I wouldn't give up hope on that yet. Worst case scenario I'm sure we'll see seals and penguins in the water but I wouldn't be surprised if there are places to come ashore. The trailers can't give away ALL the features before launch, or at least they shouldn't. The ones that do tend to spoil so much that it detracts from the experience.
I played the one on the Wii growing up. That starting out shallows area is a part of me that I always remember and that my family remembers from watching me play on the living room TV. Definitely going to buy this, even if it’s just for nostalgia.
I can't wait to dive with these whales, orcas and dolphins 😭❤

This game looks so amazing! I wish it was coming to Steam. I don't own a Switch, but for those who do, you're in for a treat. The exploration and cozy vibes are awesome!
As someone who's a big fan of photography 📸 this game actually looks really cool! I think seeing a game where you can go on undersea dives and take photos of fish in both modern and prehistoric era without having to actually go diving underwater and risk getting attacked by sharks or stung by stingrays is something really cool to see!
They’ve added ‘mythical creatures’ to a game about the ocean where some of the most amazing animal on earth live.
So can we actually interact with the mosasaurs and such this time around or are they just random background events like in the first 2 games.

Blue World's Thanatos scarred me for life; every night, religiously, I have horrific nightmares about sharks, sharks bigger than any other. And now, it's time to face that fear.

I've never heard of this series, but I'm super excited to play this. I bought another game called Beyond Blue and I've replayed it over and over hoping that another game similar to it would emerge. This is so much better than I hoped.

@@kevmclarty the story mode wasn't much in the other games either. Forever mad about all that build up for the "mythical creature" at the end to be a white whale.
