I once purchased a faux Chanel Coco Mademoiselle bottle online years ago and have been quite paranoid ever since. Fragrance is too important to me. I'd rather pay the full price every time and receive quality! A study done on faux fragrances found many contained toxic ingredients, some even tested positive for urine! đ€ą Although, many fragrances get reformulated and as someone who used to work in fragrance, some people feel certain the bottle they bought is not authentic when in reality the scent was changed or weakened in strength by the manufacturer. Or you could just do some research on the internet about which fragrance sites are legit then choose one and you're set. If a fragrance site is selling fakes, there will be complaints and bad reviews that you will see.

I've had experience where a fragrance was weakened by the manufacturer when a tester performed much better with no negative reaction to it

What a god send, and I'm going to be honest the first video I watched was the one where you had sprayed your right arm and smelled it and exclaimed "wait I think this is a fake". That is what got my attention and this being 2 years old which actually doesn't matter, the fact is, you care that much to make this video shows me the level of expertise you possess and the level of love you have for yourself and for us đ.

I buy testers all of the time. *Sometimes* theyâre slightly stronger than normal to influence those who are testing in store. I also love how most of the time testers have the notes labeled on the side of the bottle

Well, in Poland in sephora all testers have batch code from the old formulations so all of the testers have veeery good parameters. I have many fragrances from the new formulations 2019 or 2020, and there are ogted worse than the testers because of the date of the production

If buying cologne on Amazon, would you consider Amazon LLC to be an authorized dealer? I bough some Nautica Voyage sold by Amazon LLC. I don't think there is a lot of pressure to counterfeit Voyage because it's inexpensive but, I am thinking about making some higher price purchases and, I wondering if "Sold by Amazon" means that it's not going to be counterfeit.

Have some idea about its marker price and anything abnormally low has a high probability of being a fake.

The bottle are front Duty Free,they have the label with the holografic mark,the anti-theft label and price.
After I open the packege I see they dont they dont have the code to check If they are original ore fake.

Hi all, I am proud to have 30 + perfumes in my collection at this moment, hopefully more bottles will come, I think first you will notice if you get a fake perfume the quality control of the packaging and the bottle, an original perfume will never pass the quality control if is poor in the quality, second order from sites or buy from stores that are authorised to sell fragrance(not from anyone from the street) and third when you apply on skin if you smelled before the perfume you will noticed immediately the original from fake one. The hard thing is to find out if it is a case of fake or just reformulation. In my case (and i am new to parfums, sorry) EROS EDT: From a tester it's beast mode. Bought online from a serious seller -> barely noticeable
I think also if you shake the bottle and liquid is very bubbly in comparison with original not so much bubbles.

sometimes checking the code is good but also pay attention if the perfume box is legitly sealed because it is easy to decant perfumes using a syringe..sometimes the bottle and box is 100% authentic but the juice is fake or 50% combination of fake and legit.. business minded people are evil beware

On Chanel a small four-digit number engraved on the bottom of the back (square bottle) very hard to see. I shine a violet light to see it. Also check smoothness of the glass bottle.

The true is that the fake may happen even in the authorized perfume store. This happened to me yesterday with Touberose Nue from Tom Ford. This fake is so obvious that you don't have to be an expert to figure that out. It seems like you have to be cautious also in the authorized perfume stores as well as there is no guarantee that you buy an original bottle there.
I think that happened to me today at Macyâs with COCO Chanel. What can I do in this case?
@@lourdesvaldes979 First of all try to compare your bottle and its content with the original one. One your fragrance is not long lasting as the original or you feel difference in the notes you get a clear indication you've got the fake. Look at the bottle details as well for differences that may show you that something is neglected for instance a cap is plastic and should be metal etc. And of course return it to the shop and demand a full refund or full value product. I hope you still have your purchase confirmation handy.
