And yes, obviously I was using them incorrectly, but it's not exactly easy to always use them right when you're dealing with getting in tight corners in the ribbing of a tugboats bulwarks. Wire wheels are easy to lose your grip on when they happen to bind up or grab a corner. And that goes double for the fact that 90% of the time, what we're cutting is the chain connecting tires to our bulwarks, there's not many ways to be 100% sure the chain we're cutting through won't move. Either way, I personally avoid using cutting wheels because in the 12 years I've been on tugboats, I have yet to see anyone cut through something without it binding up at some point. I don't even watch people cut with them anymore. I'm not about to use something I'm too anxious to even watch someone else use.
