  • With the shooting season in full swing, we join Ian Harford, Frederic Hanner and Frank Stephenson on a stunning October morning at Wolseley Park Estate for an epic day of fast paced pheasant shooting.
Welcome to the Great British Shooting on Team Wild TV.
Today Ian is hosting a number of his friends from all over Europe. Shoot days like this isn’t just about the pheasants, it’s also about the camaraderie, having fun and enjoying each other’s company.
The hospitality at the Wolseley Park Estate is outstanding. The team go the extra mile not to just the shooting and producing great birds, but also ensuring the guns have a great time. The weather remains very mild with very little wind, this will allow for some interesting shooting as it is unknown how the birds will react. There is a strong mixture of guns with different abilities and everyone is ready for an exciting day full of good clean birds and great stories to tell.
Frederic is using the new Sauer Apollon shotgun, which is ideal for fast paced pheasant and partridge shooting. Today is a brilliant day to be out with such a magnificent shotgun. It has been a fantastic first drive for Frederic who is off to a great start after successful shooting two partridge and five pheasants. It is a fascinating experience for Frederic to see the different approach to what he is accustomed to in Germany.
During the next drive Frank Stephenson was incredibly successful in shooting truly great sporting birds. Each drive offers a unique position where the birds approach from different angles.
Days like this are once in a lifetime, bringing a group of like-minded people from all different backgrounds together is what Great British Shooting is all about.

I like how these driven hunts are done with a certain elegance, you hunt in nice cloths, shooting beautiful guns and taking really nice birds having a good time. good work Ian. (oh and also how would I respond to people saying that this isn't ethical and that they're raised in farms and just born for this and just things that anti hunters would say, thanks)

Maria I. Cubillo to reply to people who aren’t a fan. firstly shooting isn’t for everyone I used to find it hard to justify shooting.Over time I realised shooting is only part of the year, as a whole conservation is huge amongst shoots and often the shooting is what funds the management and conservation of hundreds of acres.

Stanbury stance is going extinct unfortunately. Don't know why but it wasn't appreciated much outside of Britain. A super classy stance that is.
