- Comparing the Little Cloud Puffin 16m2 with the Puffin 13m2 launched on a mountain slope. Really fun gliders and very safe to fly with open timmers. Same fun as the fabolous Super Goose!

Impressionnant 👌
Great video: Puffin 16 -> just before landing, did you close the trims to reduce speed?
Yes sometimes I do it on landing depending how it feels when pitching up 😅
Pilot how kg🙂
Good glider
Good day Ser!
Why do you say it's not a good idea to use brakes with open trimmers?
You have a contradictory effect when braking while beeing with full tims open. It`s the same on bigger wings where you should not brake when beeing on full speed bar. The wing tends to collapse on the tips sometimes when doing this. With most gliders it will be never a problem, especially not with mini or speedwings due to the high wing load. But some gliders destroy you completely when braking while accelearated (Looking at you, Zeno..) But the reason I mentioned it in regard to this video is more due to the fact that you create lift with the braking and are not able to follow the ground so close. But I still prefer it in most situations
Can you describe the difference doing the barrels with open/closed trimmers?
With open trimmers they have more energy and it feels more safe in my opinion. Although it’s usually not the best thing to use brakes with fully open trims so better only do it in completely calm air :)
Thanks! I mainly fly my 16 puffin soaring our coastal dunes in the Netherlands but want to bring it this winter in the mountains and try some barrels
