The flapper you took out is called a fluidmaster dial flapper. You can set the interval to how long it stays open for your toilet to flush properly. I don't use them cause any flapper should stay open until the tank empties.
“Next level shitter” 😂😂😂😂 I burst out laughing. This channel is the best
I learn so much from your channel. I had my own plumbing issue to fix yesterday: my toilet needed a new bowl to floor gasket (I chose the rubber one vs the wax ring); got it done in 30 minutes without any disaster.
Steven, drop a big log in there. A good load test to make sure the wax and flange are good.
love their wood paneling there!
Sloppy and loose is bad! You do great work Steve!
Smart idea to replace that Fluidmaster Dial-A-Flush flapper. I’ve had bad luck with them closing too soon in recent years even when they are adjusted to the maximum setting. I use Korky flappers and have much better results.
the stuff i learn , Knowledge is power.
It looks like the flapper is set for a 1.6 gallon. Just turn it up to max flush and that should've worked. Great choice with the blue replacement buddy, that's all I use for the older toilets.👍👍
LOL 😅😅😆 next level shitta. I could not stop laughing at that one Steve, you are a classic. Love your channel. 👍
The toilet is a 1980s Crane Radcliffe, which flushes 3.5 gpf, which was the maximum water requirement starting in 1980 or 81.
Love the glasses steve. Matches the gloves. Makes the ladies swoon after you leave.
Cool
Somehow I’m reminded of the movie Dumb and Dumber..toilet didn’t flush. If only they had Steve around
Good job Steve hope you and Miss Molly are doing well
That red flapper is adjustable to have it close sooner or later for various tanks etc. We had them in the past long ago and they don't last long, they got hard and leaked and finally the adjusting feature became fixed and didn't adjust any longer. As we all know, the cheaper plain jane ones that have been around for decades work best, like the blue one.
They probably should put a more water saver friendly toilet in there.
Someone loves Ye Olde Knottye Pyne decor.
Hello Steve!
Another great job.
I have one of those flappers. At min it will flush bad. better to just set it to max. Or do what you did and replace it to keep it simple.
Another quick fix, quick money, and another satisfied customer Steve! Keep them video's coming ☝️👍👌🫵💥
Smurf flapper... 🙂
Hey Steve and Miss Molly! Workin’ again y’all. 👍👍
Did You Change Nervous Nellie's Oil Tank Yet?
Water was still filling the tank a way too high, and you should have cleaned the water shutoff valve.Water filling way to slow.
Nothing like a nice blue flapper mama!
That old toilet handle was blown out. The home owner gave it too much gundy mama. It's not easy being cheesy mama. Hope all is well Steve and Miss Molly.
My home was built in 1986, and came with 2 of these Crane Galaxy toilets (I saw the boxes they came in). They were horrible: slow, would swirl but the water wouldn't go down, and one overflowed. The first one lasted 3 months before I got rid of it, and the second one about 6 months later! I was told by the plumbing contractor that they got a batch of these toilets that had "bad castings". Most people got rid of them, but there are still a few of them here. Once you fixed this toilet with the blue flapper, it flushed better than my two did.
I’m not a fan of those toilets either…had something similar in my house when we bought it; I subsequently replaced it with an American Standard toilet; maybe a Cadet 3? No problems with it at all.
Need to replace that 3 gallon a flush toilet, instead of paying you to change handles and flappers, the sewer charges they pay are ridiculous in Massachusetts 🤦🤦
Nice easy fix.
Good job Steve, Miss Molly needs a new flapper, she needs a chew toy.
Thank you for the tech tips. What brand are those blue flappers? Thank you. Have a great weekend!
Howdy Steve and Molly
Steve, take a vacation buddy, leave something for the other guys to fix.
He just got his new truck he's gotta pay the bills 😂
Good job😊😊
Those adjustable flappers have to be set for 9 to work with that toilet.
Steve was up to his eyeballs in shart 💩
That a baby Steve, flushing good
Another “wood” seat
Put one of those blue ones in my toilet. They were sold as OEM American Standard. Not sure if that was legit or not, but she sure flushes perfect!
All they had to do was rotate the flapper. But it still needed a handle. Did they have a problem with the water running to fill the toilet? The ones I’ve seen with those didn’t seal right if they weren’t on the right setting.
i just replaced out handle. It broke in 2 pieces it was rotted..Good old brockton water.
Crane Radcliffe!!!!
Those dial-flappers just needed to be set to max (this length of time it stays “open”)
Hey Steve
Where do you get the blue flappers from? What is the name brand?

Nothing is worse than a shitter that refuses to flush.
Slow flush
