Great video! Remember when the pattern says “one hour”, that’s the sewing time, not the time spent preparing the fabric and cutting out the pattern.
Thank you!
Yes, please do one for wovens. I wear more linen than anything else. While I like that the knits stretch, wovens are my preference 😊. Thanks for the video.
great advice!
Hello Brittany. Please provide a beginner's friendly pattern list for woven fabric. Go Girl! You are Fabulous!
I’ve been sewing for ages but I still go for patterns with few pieces! But I like to make loose boxy things and add my own darts for shaping….. and pockets!
I love that adding darts and pockets. Pockets make everything better lol
Hey Brittany! You shared some valuable information. I have been sewing for 53 years and sometimes I can be reading the guide sheet, and some of them will make the greatest seamstress pause. There are times that I can look over the guide sheet and fold it back up and never touch it again. TFS, be safe and be blessed. 💙💙💙💙👍
Thank you for all you do❤
Excellent presentation skills, Brittany. I enjoyed this video and learned a thing or two.
Thank you Britt Britt.....this was a good idea to have this video.....makes it easier to find patterns that have fewer pieces and just get to getting....Would love a similar one for wovens.
Thanks 😊
from mrs: thanks for great easy pattern ideas!
Hi Brittany!! thank you for sharing this video, very informative. Remain blessed xxx
This is awesome. I am just restarting my garment sewing journey. I have some of these, so I feel good about it. I would love to see the same video for woven fabrics, please and thank you x

Yes ..no more than 5 pieces.I just did a jacket 14 pieces. 😮 What was I thinking..Thanks Brittany..the 30min intervals helped.
Great video. Thank you.
cool. thanks for sharing
I have some ponte knit on hand so I may still be able to make some of these
Thank you so much for sharing this video. It has a lot of helpful information.
I would like to suggest a future video idea. Could you go into detail about what a rayon, knot or woven fabric looks like and what the label will say.
Can you do a video recommending pants patterns that will fit ladies with fuller hips and rear. I am having such a hard time finding them even with adjustment it still not right.
Thank you for this ! I loved it , it was for me ; I bought a sewing machine, easy pattern and material this week 😊, still too scared to get it out yet but I’m working up to it
Get going on what you invested in.....start easy....you'll be fine. Britt Britt has great tutorials too....very easy to follow
Lol......right when you said the 4th pattern, I'm like hmmm......All Simplicity patterns.....lol
Also, some people don’t have lots of time in their daily schedule for sewing so fewer pieces would be less confusing if you had to put the project away for several days and return to it later.
Hi Brittany! Great video! I have sewn Simplicity 9717 and I’m not sure if you noticed, but the skirt in that pattern does call for a zipper. Not sure why, but it does. I actually omitted the zipper and used the waistband as a casing for elastic. Worked just fine. Just wanted to let you know in case a beginner reaches out to you about this. Thanks for sharing these!
Hey Martika. I did see the zipper on that one and wondered the same thing because it could definitely just be elastic. Glad to know it can be sewn with or without it. Thanks for watching and for your comment❤️
Hi! Mrs.Brittany
Could you consider making some of these designs in a video?
These are Simplicity, buuut Simplicity is on sale $1.99 at JoAnns right now. Not sure when it ends could be tomorrow or it could be next Sunday.
Hi Mrs. Brittany, I purchased Mimi’s book, how do I get the the digital patterns in pdf form? Thank you!!!
Hey Patricia. You mean the pattern base patterns in her book? The base patterns are in the back of the book (should be in a white envelope) and she walks through how to hack them in the book. Let me know if thats what you mean.
@@brittanyjjonestv when you purchase the book, they send a digital pattern , I wanted to get it in pdf format. I thought it was different, maybe not??? Thank you for responding 🙏🏽🙏🏽
It so funny to me that people list buttons as harder than zippers. I'm so intimidated by zippers!
