Commendable! I've seen so many lectures of various teachers for costing of CA intermediate, but couldn't find such a deep and logical explanation. Their focus is usually around formulae, but Naresh sir's pedagogy is another level! Nobody has ever taught in such a conceptualized manner
That's because You don't necessarily Have that much time in CA to do such Deep Analysis.....It's kind of time Consuming and there isn't any need to do such analysis in subjects like Costing our Core Are is Taxation and Accounting ....If u spend Your that much time in doing Analysis then You won't be able to prepare your other Subjects ....So You have understand what subjects are needed to do analysis and what are just to be studied in a way to get passed out.....We aren't doing B.com Exams where we have only Few Subject In that case You can do this but In CA do u know why this exam is tough?It's not because the Question comes out of the Syllabus at least I've never encountered such situations but the Only problem Is The Course is such a Vast that You have to segregate the subjects in different criteria that which subjects are to be studied which Ways....!Good luck
P.S: I'm not Going to watch this Cause It's such a Lengthy video for merely material variance Better to follow CA Namit Arora....I've only watched one video of Naresh Sir i.e Insurance claim( LOP) And that was Fabulous But this one doesn't seems fair with the time that he has taken

I always prefer to get concept rather mugging up formulas...I was not understanding that mix and yield concept and was simply going through formula rather following the concept. Now I'm happy that it's not only in my notebook but also got fit into my brain. The actual logic behind this concept. :-)

s .v .Ltd .manufactures a simple product ,the standard mix of which is material. A : 60% at RS 20 per kg. material. B: 40% at RS 10 per kg. Normal loss in production is 20% of input .Due to shortage of material A, the standard mix was changed. Actual results for March, 1989 were: material: 105 kg.at Rs- 20 per kg. material: 95 kg.at Rs-9 per kg. input. : 200kg. loss. : 35 kg. output. : 165kg. calculate: a) material price variance. b) material usage variance c) material mix variance d) material yield variance e) material cost variance. please answer sir this problem
It is not practically possible for me to solve students problems but I can just give u a hint... As there is a normal loss of 20% of input it will be 1/4 of of output.. So use total standard input quantity as 206.25 kgs and apply the procedure as discussed in the lecture..
