@@kankova_soprano I found it very moving. Tremendous. Looking at your biography, I notice you sung and produced the whole opera (Ariadne) in 2016, is there a DVD/CD of this available anywhere, by any chance?

Yes - lovely! Delicate singing, precise, and some impressive high notes sung softly. This is a Martinu opera that I'm not very familiar with, and it was nice to hear this aria in isolation. Lucie's voice suits it very well.

@@peterthompsonfand dear Peter, yes! It was my school project in 2016 and I also sang it later at Deutsche Oper am Rhein. Here you can watch the whole opera (my master degree performance): czcams.com/video/taSNOVg2g8c/video.html
All the best and thanks for your kind words. Lucie

@@kankova_soprano That is most kind!🌈 ... I had no idea the whole opera was there. What an extraordinarily enterprising production.. I think it captures so well the broken, jigsaw-like dreamworld which Martinu was exploring here and elsewhere (eg Julietta). Setting it in a kind of asylum reinforces this aspect, and again, the last aria is so brilliantly sung.... poignant, yet, at the end, liberating! Would love to see you in a professional production of the opera... and you’d be fantastic as Julietta, if the vocal range suited, I am sure. Thanks again‼️
Do you sing any of Martinu’s solo songs? British songs?
