Polar Bear's Revenge is definitely going to get 12A rating. Loved this video & your way of presenting it. I've watched a lot of DNA videos & this was great. Hopefully I'll see you soon. I realise that sounds weird if people don't know that we're friends! x

If they don’t know we’re friends then they don’t watch this channel enough ;) let’s have a London date ASAP

I think DNA testing is so interesting! I haven’t done it yet, but it’s something I really want to do. It’s so cool to see how people are surprised by the results as well.

Hi Jonny, in the States here. All my immigrant ancestors were from Ireland, except for one from Germany. We long suspected he might have been Jewish, passing for Gentile.
Several of these companies specifically list Ashkenazi (German & Eastern European) Jewish ancestry, but said no. The mix of what did surface though--a speck of India, a trace of the Near East and good bit of Slavic--points somewhat to him being half-Roma (no longer called "Gypsy").
So he was apparently concealing something--but not what we thought!

I’ve always wanted to do one of these but I can’t afford it 😂

I really want to take one of these DNA tests because my grandma has done a lot of research into our genealogy and it'd be interesting to see what got passed down to me.

Checking on line I read something stating that Y DNA haplogroup E-M5021 is related to or the same as E1b1b1-M35. Maybe you should test your Y DNA haplogroup at another company to get the fuller 'downstream' subclade, since modern humans rarely carry only this more ancient, 'upstream' clade. Richard and David Attenborough belonged to E1b1b1-M35.

I sent off my DNA sample a week or so ago, so I'll be finding out all of my stuff soon!

I was born in Cuba, as well as my parents and grandparents (on my mother’s side I know I must have Spanish and French somewhere); but Latino America doesn’t count as a race since it’s just a bundle of people from different places (“thanks”, Christopher Columbus). Would love to know more about my family history, but the tests are so expensive... 😓
