I was in 5th grade in the Philippines when I started fangirling over The Moffatts! I could still remember how I used to collect posters and song magazines that featured your songs and interviews, how I learned how to play the guitar before Junior High School and the first songs that I mastered were (of course, obviously!) from your Chapter 1: A New Beginning album, how I cried so hard when you came to the Philippines twice (1998 and 2000) but I was too young and poor and I lived in a province 5-6hours away from Manila so I couldn't go to your concert, how you all have become an inspiration to me through your music... and the list goes on and on and on.❤️ It had become my 'trademark' in primary and high school. Whenever I get the chance for reunion or gatherings with my ex-classmates, there is never a time that they don't mention I was "The Moffatts fangirl" way back then jajajajaja.🤣🤣🤣
Fast forward to today, and I must say I never stopped being a fan... Your songs will always remind me of my youth and they will always hold a special place in my heart. I will never forget how they comforted me and gave me hope during tough times, how they made me believe in love, how they made me jump for joy, and how they even caused me to bawl my eyes out. You just didn't sing these songs, but you actually spoke directly from your heart and they penetrated our souls as well.
I have been living in Spain for over a decade now and I really regretted the fact that I wasn't able to see your reunion concerts when you returned to the Philippines the last few years! It could have been a dream come true to me and I'm no longer that 'broke girl' from the province but now, even if I can afford the ticket, I already live (even) farther!!! 💔💔💔I don't know when or where or how will I ever see you all.🥺🥺🥺

I moved a few months ago and had a moffatts CD in a box and the mover saw and knew exactly who they were and was asking me questions about them being Canadian as well. It brought back a lot of amazing memories.

Brooke: I feel you. I used to trade videos and pictures of their performances and example of which were my collection of their concert in Germany. And i had to ship pics and videos i took from their Araneta Coliseum concert in 1998. ( I sadly lost all my moffatts stuff coz of the flood)

As a 90's kid, I used to play The Moffatts songs on My guitar, and this song was the 1st song I sang to My 1st love back in High School. We were separated by Destiny, and I guess it wasn't our fate to be together. This song hits hard for me, but the pain is already gone. "Lara" was also My favorite from The Moffatts album. I have stopped playing the Guitar, but My heart and My mind still remember the chords. Thank you for bringing the memories of My 1st love. :)
