Does this all take away from the fact that two uneducated goons are taking the nation to ransom. Is it fair for even the various pillars of democracy including EC and a common man's court to do injustice. Do you think these bodies especially the EC and court were dead as they seem today in the revolution against Mrs. Gandhi. The public servants other than the ruling political establishment have allowed them to be subordinated by the goons for fear or favour. The creamy layer of our society have sold themselves selfishly and for economic gains to the goons in the establishment. So the actual difference in the political situation is not more about the opposition politicians, but a select creamy, selfish layer of the population.
Once atleast if these creamy layer and the luetiens realise what sort of society we are leaving for the next generations, there might be some hope. One should not forget a fact that you failed to mention. India United post emergency and the country survived. @@sohambanerjee99 It is very unpredictable. But one thing is for sure. If Modi is elected for the third time there is going to be caous. The majority Hindu Indians will not accept a Hindu rashtra. The selective misuse of power, Changing the fundamental principles of constitution, keeping the poor poorer, etc will not be accepted. It is better we don't imagine now the scale of destruction. Therefore one hopes that even if BJP becomes the single largest party, Modi- Shah will be out of the equation and there will be sanity restored. To your question, you can comment about Bengal. But in my view, the rise of Khalistani radicals, Tamil Nadu, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and a few other states are not going to accept the dictator. The one thing the global community appreciates about India is its cultural diversity and coexistence and therefore the existence of peoples democracy. This is going to disintegrate if Modi returns for the third term.
