Rhodonite - The Crystal of Harmonious Expectations

- Think about the last time you were upset with a loved one. Regardless of who was wrong and who was right, for that is only a matter of opinion, the basis of your disappointment was most probably because this person didn’t fulfil the expectations you held for them. As we all strive to grow and evolve, we can place heavy expectations on ourselves and others. If this gets out of hand, disagreements arise. Rhodonite is a crystal of grounded and realistic love. It ensures the standards we hold everyone accountable to are not out of proportion. It soothes fiery or feuding relationships. It also reminds us that we may not have the capacity to do things we could in our younger years and thus to cut ourselves some slack when we don’t meet our lofty standards of perfection.

I had a rhodonite necklace on last week, and had this funny conversation:
Them: What rock is that?
Me: Rhodonite.
Them: ...reminds me of a rat.
Me: (pause) Well, it is pink with grayish streaks...
Them: I meant it sounds like the word "rodent"!
That's upsetting. I will never wear a rodent around my neck!

It's great to learn about crystals, but it would be easier to identify them if you could provide viewers with a better look at the crystal you are talking about. You information is fantastic, much better than what is available online, but we would really appreciate if you could spend more time zoomed in!
