I found an AUG A1 in a convoy close to the checkpoint north of Elektro. That was a bit of fresh air ngl. You usually don't find that so early on, and it was a different experience for sure. Reminds me of the old legacy days where you could be running around with basic gear and a good gun looking for some ammo and magazines. Gave you something to work towards!
I found one in I'm assuming the same exact place with the same exact gun myself. Past the military tents going north is where I ran into mine at and on Xbox. Nonetheless my mindset was like yours cause I was a legit freshie who had spawned in Elektro, found what I needed to the next town, and couldn't believe how fast I was geared for something that usually takes me days to find hahahaha.

I would love to eventually see some sort of map progression (more). Like the toxic zones and added convoys. I love seeing added things in, containing loot and the sorts. Added lore and military interference is nice to see.
They should implement zones for colder weather in the northern part of the map, like what Namalsk does. Forcing the player to get warm clothes and make fires every now and then to survive the cold temperatures

The trains that crash randomly around the map are good too but watch out because the infected are brutal around them all the time and they wander into the bushes where you can't always see them right away
It depends on the server. I went on an MI server where the zombie wouldn't have a very good age at the military/civ/industrial trains, but when I switched to another MI server, the zombies would 1 tap cut you half the time. From personal expirence of switching l between servers
It is worthy to note that a longer established server/a high pop server running vanilla settings most probably will not have the same level of loot you found due to the limited loot table numbers of high end guns and gear.
He said at the beggining that the server he's playing on is a pure vanilla one. It's still pretty obvious he's playing on an empty server tho, so this isn't the actual kind of loot you'd find.
Just saying, I found an AUG (the modern one) and a ghillie suit at one. I then killed a fresh spawn with a plate carrier and NVGs. This was at balota. I’m not entirely sure how that much good loot spawned at once.
The amount of times I’ve come across a convoy that’s already been hit and people haven’t checked the back of the broken down jeeps and there’s NVGs in the back. The best convoy I’ve hit is the one on the far west of the map in the woods/swamp , at a single one there was a pristine ghillie suit ,hood , rifle wrap , camo fieldpack, LAR and a DMR 😂
@@Ty-sq7yi The difference is that Heli crashes make a noise when they spawn, attracting all players within a radius which makes them dangerous to loot, but worth it due to the high end equipment. The convoys don't have this risk-reward mechanic, you just stumble across them through dumb luck and cash out on the loot. It's basically just a heli crash, but without the risk and completely dependant on RNG. Plus, since the addition of contaminated areas Heli crash loot has been kind of trash, given that the limited weapons and equipment that spawns in them is now stretched thin between the crashes and the toxic zones; and the addition of the convoys just makes this problem worse.
I haven't played DayZ in a while. I just came back a couple days ago. My run this morning I got into a melee fight at Kamyshovo PD, then headed to Tulga to cook what food I had. Someone ran into the house I was cooking in, killed him and finished cooking. Then hit the convoy spawn just north of town. First time checking for one of these, and it was there! Not only that, but it had pristine NVGs, a worn AUG w/ mag and 6 shots, a worn Le-Mas w/ 5 shots and a mag, as well as a ghillie hood. Some baby ak ammo from one of the zombies, and a field vest from another. Oh, and an LAR badly damaged w/ no mag so I left that there. absolutely INSANE for the far southeastern part of the map.
PSA There is a random wrecked Humvee in Lopatino that spawns high tier loot and nobody knows about it. I have found multiple SVD's, LAR's, M4's and more at this Humvee (my base is in Lopatino so i always check it) Roughly 1/3 of the times that i check it, it has a top tier weapons and loot.
Not on the server I play on, and it’s vanilla. The best things I’ve found is a loaded plate carrier and a FAMAS. Other than that, it’s been maybe a holster or a helmet.
600h on livonia official, many helis many convoys, many trains, only once ive found SVD badly damaged and no mag, so i do not think it is OP, and still even if you do find something it does not stop a freshie with shotgun blasting you in the face somewhere. What i find OP is how many explosives you can find to blow up bases, ive had loot runs with car getting like 20+ granades, 2-3 claymores and 1-2 c4-s under 2hours then id blast a base, loot up and machines keeps going untill we loot half the server..
The one above Dolina on the dirt road leading to Staroye spawns fairly often I feel and also the one going north out of Electro that spawns under the power lines leading to Staroye
The one by Dolina is especially op. It spawns frequently. Its given me ghillie cloak and hood, ak74u's, and the nvg headstrap that I needed for the goggles I got from the last day of the Xmas trees. All within a day or two.

I got the LAR I almost missed it not checking the back of the other trucks and an gilly shrug, which I tore down to remake the homemade because I personally believe they blend in better unless you’re on Lavonia I got a 60 round really are mag as well. It was getting dark and I was pretty fresh Spawn so I didn’t get exactly the time there I wanted because the day light went out and I’m on first person but it was extremely OP. I come across another one and didn’t realize I had to search the back of the trucks and stuff like that and just grabbed a couple things on the ground and was like that was cool another being gilly shrug I just hope I can find some and NVG’s and head mounts I like to use in a assault, vest with a butt pack. No backpack, really good hunter camo, and a bony hat. A hot Chi, the Gilly suit that’s in my butt pack so I can put it on in a split second and go ghost with an under a second the paddles on the elite controller help a lot I couldn’t imagine playing Dayz without it
There are only a few guns with better firepower than a Bizon in this game. Yes it uses a small caliber round so maybe you meant Stopping Power. FIREPOWER means how many rounds you can put onto a target before you have to reload. Thus a Mk II .22 caliber w/ 10 shot magazine has more firepower than a 1911 .45 caliber w/ 7 shot magazine.

you say you are unlucky for not finding a rare convoy, I would say I was extremely unlucky when I found one in livonia official with the zombie of the keycard for the bunker and M4 on the floor close to him and exactally when Im cleaning the zombies of the convoy the server crashes for no reason and after trying to log for one minute the convoy dispawns with all the loot and zombies with it... thats extremely unlucky
The military convoys in Livonia seem to be bugged. There are a set number of convoy events that will spawn, some zombies including the special infected with the green cap and the potential to drop a Punched Card, but there will be no loot and they never despawn. Been searching for a fix, I don't know if there's any Livonia server owners out there that have fixed this on their own but the vanilla Bohemia files included on github don't seem to work post-1.19 update. I've heard reports this happens on Official, too? SOS !
I don’t think they are over powered. I think with plenty of players on a server it’ll be hard to find stuff as frequent but when you do it’s pretty worth it
I went to the one by balota airfield while I was about to loot it and I found an SVD. Maybe slightly overpowered but it adds balance for new players who aren’t ready to leave the coast.
I’ve hit 3 convoys in Tier 2 & 3 loot zones and for me they kinda sucked. Only dropped PSO scopes, military clothing, maybe a magazine or two and a civilian medium tent. No guns, no NVGs, no good optics, no large tents, no ammo crates, and lastly haven’t found a punch-card for underground bunker yet either.
Ive got a question? How come you didnt take the field backpack at the 2nd convoy. Its the best backpack in the game from what i know. I got the game just a week ago

They're hard to find (rare) and only have good weapons-sometimes. There's nothing OP about them. But, you know what they are when you see one, so if you think it's "OVERPOWERED" just leave it and go on your way.
i find it strange that thare are 3 things that spawn heli loot, (u have the heli crashes, dynamic train and military convoys) all whit the same loot. thats why heli crashes are crap now. most loot is on convoys and dynamic train, the realy need to change that. for the rest i like what the added but the need to rework the lootspawn. if u find a lar or aug in fresh spawn teritory it way to strong
I think it would be amazing if you had NPC military patrols and civilians just to add to the flavour a bit...even if the server is full I still think it's really hard finding people...find plenty of dead ones especially at that lighthouse on the coast.

"NEW"? it used to be like this back in like .56 all military vehicle crashes spawned loot. ive been asking the devs for them to add this back for YEARS. i never understood why they removed it.
the FOV is all messed up here, objects on each side of the image appear to be much closer than they are, and objects in the center of the image appears much further away than it is, something is not working right with FOV scalling here at all.
I only play official and I have only found like 2 of these. I don't ever really look either but they are pretty rare considering I have a couple hundred hours this update alone

Well. I'd check convoys actually because they spawn the same loot and I personally feel like you'd uave better chances. The convoys are often overlooked and are silent. Heli's draw attention.
Overpowered loot items or spawn zones in the game are considered as such solely by the observer. The assumption is purely opinion based and should never be taken as the standard. As long as the developers aren’t easily swayed by one person’s opinion the game should continue to be popular and grow it’s player base. My worst fear as an avid player of DayZ is that unnecessary implementations will be made when none were needed, and by doing so will sour the game for the masses while making it preferable for the few who had CZcams channels or Twitch streamers with clout. I don’t believe anything in the game was ever “Overpowered” and when removed it often reduces the fun factor - like the one hit knock out obtained with the shovel back in 2020. Many wonderful memories were made by smacking someone in the head with a shovel and now those joyful times are gone simply because “it was OP” … my point is that if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it. It’s perfect the way it is. DayZ is by far one of the best games ever made - let’s not spoil it, please.

I found a LAR and a KA74 on my first one, it was one of the closest spawns from the coast and I went from a BK to fully geared. It was weird

Tip: it can also spawn ontop of humvees. I found several good guns ontop of humvees
You missed an AK in the first convoy in the truck, ironically as you were talking about searching them.
One convoy got a LAR, a AUG a full gillie suit and a 75 drum mag for KAM! Heli crashes are not the wow anymore lol

i find it strange that thare are 3 things that spawn heli loot, (u have the heli crashes, dynamic train and military convoys) all whit the same loot. thats why heli crashes are crap now. most loot is on convoys and dynamic train, the realy need to change that. for the rest i like what the added but the need to rework the lootspawn. if u find a lar or aug in fresh spawn teritory it way to strong
I think it would be amazing if you had NPC military patrols and civilians just to add to the flavour a bit...even if the server is full I still think it's really hard finding people...find plenty of dead ones especially at that lighthouse on the coast.

"NEW"? it used to be like this back in like .56 all military vehicle crashes spawned loot. ive been asking the devs for them to add this back for YEARS. i never understood why they removed it.

the FOV is all messed up here, objects on each side of the image appear to be much closer than they are, and objects in the center of the image appears much further away than it is, something is not working right with FOV scalling here at all.

I only play official and I have only found like 2 of these. I don't ever really look either but they are pretty rare considering I have a couple hundred hours this update alone

Well. I'd check convoys actually because they spawn the same loot and I personally feel like you'd uave better chances. The convoys are often overlooked and are silent. Heli's draw attention.
Because console's loot table always gets screwed up once everyone stockpile's their gear

Overpowered loot items or spawn zones in the game are considered as such solely by the observer. The assumption is purely opinion based and should never be taken as the standard. As long as the developers aren’t easily swayed by one person’s opinion the game should continue to be popular and grow it’s player base. My worst fear as an avid player of DayZ is that unnecessary implementations will be made when none were needed, and by doing so will sour the game for the masses while making it preferable for the few who had CZcams channels or Twitch streamers with clout. I don’t believe anything in the game was ever “Overpowered” and when removed it often reduces the fun factor - like the one hit knock out obtained with the shovel back in 2020. Many wonderful memories were made by smacking someone in the head with a shovel and now those joyful times are gone simply because “it was OP” … my point is that if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it. It’s perfect the way it is. DayZ is by far one of the best games ever made - let’s not spoil it, please.
