Ryan siding with Homelander is a massive consequence of Butcher’s crusade against Homelander. By pushing him away he ruined everything that Becca was trying to do to prevent her son from becoming like his father.

Maeve saved everyone’s ass a few times now. Last season it was Starlight from Black Noir, everyone from Stormfront, Butcher from Homelander, now everyone (again) with Soldier Boy.. She’s so much more of a hero than she gives herself credit for
She also saved Starlight from Homeland when he found out that her bf was apart of the Boys and called her into the conference room. Maeve was the one that talked him down.

The self loathing that soldier boy displayed was fascinating to watch. After listening to his backstory of how his own father called him a disappointment and then listening to Homelander say..."but I'm you."
"Yeah...you're a disappointment". The projection was eye opening. Parents and even other people will tear you down, just because it's what happened to them.

This episode did a number on me. Homelander had a truly human moment shine through with Ryan.
The way Antony Starr delivered the line “you know it wasn’t your fault, right?”
There was something genuinely compassionate in there. He didn’t want Ryan to feel bad about it. Obviously he follows it with horrific advice about how “sometimes things break when you’re this strong” but he genuinely showed Ryan love and compassion for a moment.
I really like Homelander in these moments. I think everyone forgets Homelander's immense trauma and it's why he is the way he is. He desperately wants love and to be a good father he just doesn't know how to accomplish it

@@lilblock3564 I pity him because of his past, and I hate him because of his actions. Even he has a self-acknowledging line with Noir, "come on, no one's all bad." I still find him the most dangerous person in the show because of how easily he sacrifices innocents.
I can’t believe this show had me feeling bad for Homelander. As a single dad who never knew my dad, that hit me hard. Dude really wants family and to be loved. His “You know that wasn’t your fault, right?” Had me choked up. Can’t believe nobody told Ryan that yet. Great show. 💜💜
they could have at least let Starlight throw Soldier boy through a few walls, that power up just for a little shockwave were Soldier boy immediately gets up from was somehow hilarious
Personally, I think it was just a setup for the idea that starlight doesn’t fully understand yet how powerful she could be given the right conditions.
I don’t think it was meant to stop soldier boy, I think from a writing perspective, it’s actually setting up how she’s going to deal with Neuman.
Starlight: "I really thought you were a hero"
Maeve: "There's no such thing"
30 minutes later Maeve selflessly saves everyone in the tower, showing us what a true hero would do

In some ways I'd say Homelander had it worse easily.
For everything Ryan has been through, at least he got to experience love because of his mother. Homelander didn't.

I´m so heartbroken they killed Black Noir. I really feel like he deserved revenge against Soldier Boy, and he did have a special bond with Homelander. That scene just killed me on the inside :(
They didn't in the comics. In the comics he is a completely different character, person, etc. He is easily top three most important characters to the story and the most important at the very end of the story.

He is the one who assaulted Rebecca, he is a clone of Homelander, and he is the one who kills Homelander after Homelander conquers the white house and ultimately takes over the USA. The only thing left of Homelander when Noir kills him is his torso and a single arm.

Say what you will about Homelander but his speech to Ryan at the start of the episode and the way he ran to Ryan after Soldier Boy threw him into that wall... The fact that Homelander care's about Ryan that much gave me warm feelings.
Black Noir was indeed the last one. In order: Swatto died in that incident in Nicaragua, Gunpowder was killed by Butcher, Crimson Countess, TNT Twins, and Mindstorm were killed by Soldier Boy.
The only thing more terrifying than Homlander losing his shit, is Homelander having all his shit together.

2 Homelander is f***ed up in the head, a maniac but when he talks to Ryan and how he acts, He is sincere and being genuine! Homelander loves Ryan!
If you like the actor who plays homelander watch the show called Banshee. It's a GREAT show. It was on Cinemax a few years back. I do genuinely believe you guys would love it. It's the first I had ever been introduced to Anthony Starr. And even though he's a criminal he's also like the town hero it's just. It's a whole diff version of having its own fucked up-ness. Lol. I would absolutely love to see you guys reacting to it.

I really liked Maeve character development this season. She did stand against Homelander several times, saved lots of people and showed she is a truly good person.
And yeah, the whole season was mind-blowing! Loved it more than S2
I’m happy they gave maeve a good ending she was so underrated throughout seasons she saved everyone season 2 when stormfront was getting the upper hand saved everyone this season . Just wish we saw more action with maeve throughout the seasons because she was badass on the finale .

You're right that we've never really seen Maeve fight before, except for Stormfront. And we know that Homelander is very strong, so the fact that Maeve fights back for as long as she does and would've probably lasted longer AND the way she takes the punches is just so impressive and surprising af! I was delighted with how things ended for her. Queen Maeve!
Also Maeve has actual fighting skills whereas Homelander relies on his powers too much. So... yay

HM and Ryan would have probably be alive after the blast from SB, just normal humans - like Maeve or Kimiko.
Soldier boy should’ve went to the tower by himself to fight HL in a 1v1 death match. SB appears to be much stronger now than he was in episode 6. I think him using his blast prior to fighting HL in episode 6 heavily drained him. He destroyed Butcher pretty easily, and butcher was holding his own against HL back in episode 6.
Homelander would survive and be powerless sure, but Ryan? I doubt it.
And Butcher isn’t going to take that chance with Ryan there.

I think for show purposes she basically died / her arc ended. If she comes back, i‘d assume not for quite a while.
I think she should've died and that'd be a perfect character arc, this show keeps characters alive when it shouldn't have to prolong the show. A Train should've died killing Blue Hawk, idk why Deep's still there he's literally useless and i literally wouldn't care if he dies. They killed Black Noir out of all of them when he's the most interesting and the most underused.

Maeve being kept alive is kinda dumb, yeah, but she’s gone from the show now, I think they just wanted her story to end a little happier. It doesn’t detract from her heroic sacrifice since she didn’t know she was going to live. As far as A-train, the thing in the finale with his brother was a good payoff that we wouldn’t have gotten if he just died. He’s trying to do the right thing now, but it’s too late. He doesn’t know what the right thing is. And I’m assuming they have plans for him going forward, although on which side, I’m not sure

I found it interesting to see Homelander show genuine emotion, especially when he killed Noir. The mirror scene in an earlier episode helped give us a glimpse into what's going on in his head, almost a split personality. So he showed genuine hurt, betrayal, and sadness when he killed Noir, like his "weak" side, then instantly switched to his "strong" side, and said, "You should have told me."
It's also interesting that The Seven is now The Three (Homelander, Deep, and A-Train). I guess we could get four new heroes next season.
And Ashley needs to take V to get her hair back. 😀

Lowkey jensen was an amazing addition to the boys. Soldier boy was great, he needed time to change and adjust. Glad he’s not actually dead lol although him constantly being betrayed won’t help his good side if he comes back.
Butchers decisions piss me off at times they needed to kill homelander first.
Clearly meave is strong but i think it was more that homelander thinks hes the best and strongest so he doesnt spend time training or even leaning to actually fight while we have seen meave trains very often so she actually knows how to fight
He always told Maeve that the two of them were different. I took that as he knew she was almost as strong as him.
The writer is a "proud feminist" an made Maeve stronger for this episode to get "even" with Homelander. In the comics she lasts 2 seconds against Homelander. Lol

In the comics, Soldier Boy isn’t his father. Stormfront is his mother though. He’s initially the primary antagonist until he’s superseded by Black Noir, revealed to be a deranged clone of the Homelander made to kill and replace him if he ever went rogue, who framed him for the rape and death of Butcher’s wife (and various other acts of murder, cannibalism, and necrophilia), as part of a plan to gradually drive him insane in order to be allowed by Vought to do so, having been driven insane himself by a lack of purpose.

I was blown away when Soldierboy blew off Homelander's offer. Like that was cold and cool as fuck. Like to see right through all of Homelander's shit even knowing he's his son. Like sure soldier boy is his own menace, but at least he's not a bitch like HL.

If Noir had his head smashed in and his helmet crushed by Soldier Boy decades in the past, then he can rejuvenate from his intestines being removed. He’ll be back to get Homelander and Soldier Boy. Ryan and Neuman’s daughter Sophia I think that’s her name are around the same age. I really wanna see where they go with that dynamic.
There's fan speculation that Noir can't heal tissue that is physically removed from his body -- that's why he didn't recover from the combat lobotomy Soldier Boy gave him. So, if his heart was in that pile of organs that spilled out ... game over. But I hope you're right. The script did him dirty.

Homelander might be a psycho, but at least he has his priorities straight when it comes to his son instead of chasing his ego. Hence why he told Maeve to leave fighting each other for another time.

I REALLY like how there are different views on that complex ending between the main characters. The writing is amazing...
And I didn't expect to actually feel for Homelander as it's really tragic what made him the way he was. Makes one think what he could have been rather than horrible abuser to those that he viewed beneath him. The fact that he was so heart broken that Noir lied to him says a lot to how high he regarded him...possibly even a friend. If only Homelander wasn't messed up in the head he could have possibly reconciled with him.
And as much as I really liked Solider Boy despite his flaws, what was about to happen with Ryan really made me question if he or Homelander is worse. Yeah what he did earlier that season was terrible but the fact that Solider Boy was to willing to do and Ryan who was technically his own Grandson really made the finale a bigger thought-provoker than I was expecting...
On another note I don't think Noir is actually dead; I honestly feel that the writers have proper plans for ending his character arc and wouldn't just kill him off in such an underwhelming way especially with what we got to learn about him.
At least that's what I am hoping on....
Same, I think Noir is going to be brought back to life somehow and be strong enough to match homelander like the comics. But we won't see it till the end.

I feel like Soldier boy and Butcher could've easily come to an agreement about not killing Ryan during the argument they had when he was knocked out and not a threat to him anymore and could've carried out with their original plan of killing Homelander together. Also regardless of "Butchering" the plan, Ryan goes off with Homelander anyway which saving him kinda felt pointless. That to me was a little odd
They could have but we wouldn't get later seasons if they kill off the series main villain this early on.

Yeah....what a season! I noticed a lot of themes about parent hood. Tons of parallells between fathers and sons, mothers and daughters and vice versa. Kind of "what it takes to parent" theme for almost all the characters. Most excellent season
I believe Noir will be back, director already said the actor who plays him is coming back next season as Noir 2.0 apparently

So they show Kimiko hating her powers because of what it does and the prostitutes being afraid of her that she thinks she's a monster and stuff wishing she didn't have them, Soldier Boy removes her powers and she's happy, but realizes she can't save Frenchie without her powers so she decides to take V again to get them back, everything is alright until this: Kimiko was so entertained destroying some dudes face (who was clearly dead already) with her nails and punching his face and shit that while she was enjoying herself doing that, Frenchie, the person that she wants to protect, the one she took V again for got shot. What was her whole arc for?
One of the many inconsistencies in this season that while I enjoyed it I can't look past them.

I like the “full circle” thing where Annie and Hughie learned their lesson and grew past the “whatever it takes” mentality, but Meave, was “still there” (due to having been locked up) 😂
I'm just sad we didn't get to see Black Noir in action more this season before he died.
The moment Homelander started forcing his thumb in Meave's sockets, I was getting the Mountain vs the Viper PTSD ☠️.
Maeve is one CLUTCH character!!! Always there to save the day, but still doesn't consider herself a hero!?! Self saboteur is strong with that one!
This season was crazy and the finale was INSANE! MM is still the best dad, and poor Ryan.

No way Noir is actually dead. We've seen him tank an explosion point blank, multiple stabbings, left for dead after having his allergens shoved down his throat, and had his brain bashed out of his skull.

This was such an amazing finale! I hope we see soldier boy again, I loved having his insane ass on the show, was so great to watch. Homelander's fans are psychos but so true to real life. Its so scary and crazy. Glad Maeve got her happy ending (for now). Cant wait for the next season!

in the comics kimiko is just called the female of the spoecies and is just blood lust wants to kill like she has a minimal amount oof people a day she has to kill of she will go to the mob and get work thats how blood thirsty she is they improved her alot in the show
