  • In this video I’m loading 7.62x39 subsonic projectiles. With 217 grain hi tech coated bullets with Cci #200 large rifle primers and 11.7 grains of 1680 rifle powder. COVL 1.190. Extremely quiet and accurate. Test weapon Ruger American 16 barrel with Rugged surge 7.62 suppressor. Your mileage may vary. Any, and all information in this video is to be used at your own risk. Thank you.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Next week I'll be buying AR chambered in 7.62x39 with short barrel and I want to build sort of tactical short of a subsonic supressed rifle. I like 7.62x39 cartrige and I was wondering if it is possible to mimic .300 blackout behavior. I will definitely try this. Thanks!

Yes no problem. Bump your powder charge up to between 13 and 13.5 grains. This load cycles my Draco Ak47 with a 7.75 inch barrel. Wayne.

Using that same powder, what is your standard grain measurement for non subsonic reloads?
I’m curious if there is a % range below a standard powder charge that can be spitballed for range testing powder bracket tests subsonic vs regular.
    Thanks

I actually only load subs. For shooting though my suppressor. I use wolf or Tula steel case for full powered loads. Wayne.
