I'm so glad you made banana pudding! I was worried my instructions would not be good enough. I wish I could have sent whipped cream for it too but it wouldn't have survived the shipping. So glad they all liked it!
You could have sent Dream Whip. The powder you add milk to and whip it good. My mom used that all the time to make her ambrosia salad.

Sorry for the injury some careless person caused you, Mr Chaudhary! May you heal quickly. Sliced bananas, vanilla pudding and Nilla wafers (crush wafers, add melted butter, pat into pie pan for the crust) is a pie that we sometimes make for the Thanksgiving celebration.

Life around the world is a lot more complicated than your self-righteous, vegan snobbery and your casual jaunts to buy overpriced milk substitute at the nearest Whole Foods Market/Amazon. People in that part of the world work hard and have a lot less than you. Let them enjoy their frickin' pudding!

Banana pudding is a big thing in the southern United States. It is delicious. Wish they could try some of my mother’s home made banana pudding. The more ripe the bananas the better…as long as they don’t have fruit flies all over them.

@@woodstream6137 Interesting! Nabisco probably changed the recipe to save money. I have not eaten Nilla wafers in several years, but I have noticed people here is New Orleans started using Jacks vanilla wafers for their banana pudding.

Banana pudding is my state's national dessert. I live in Tennessee. Here we use Jack's vanilla wafers instead of Nabisco. There are two kinds of banana pudding, old fashioned, which requires stove top cooking and new school, which is made with the instant pudding mix. Banana pudding is a huge deal in Tennessee and has its own festival. I have some old school kind in the fridge now. ☺️

Banana pudding was always a standard dish at the church socials in my youth in Texas. Most times the best feature of the event.
I want to see them try a traditional American Thanksgiving feast.
Having grown up in the Southern part of the U.S., "Nanner Puddin" was/still is one of my favorite treats!
The funny thing is, that I really don't care for bananas on their own. It's very rare for me to just eat a banana as a snack, but I love banana breads, muffins and cakes... and of course, Nanner Puddin! I even enjoy sliced bananas on my Corn Flakes.
If there's any left over the next day, it's even better because it allows the Nilla Wafers (biscuits) to get even softer!
I've seen some recipes that call for banana flavored pudding, but I prefer it with vanilla pudding! The combination of the vanilla pudding and buttery wafers with just slightly over-ripe bananas, is simply the perfect bite!
I'm very sorry that our "Mr. Sweet Tooth" was injured in a biking accident. I'll be praying that his finger heals quickly, since as a dairy farmer one of his most important tasks every day is milking his buffalo (I think?) and goats!
And I also hope that his relatively new motor bike isn't damaged, since he mentioned how much he needed it for both personal and business purposes.

Pudding is delicious any time. Usually as a desert or snack. I get the little pudding packs and put them in my bag for work to snack on if I get hungry. The banana and chocolate are my favorite

You should try serving them some dessert (fruit or cake) with hot Bird's Custard (in Britain lots of desserts have Bird's Custard on top - fell in love with it over there)
Here in Quebec we have Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Butterscotch and Pistachio pudding flavors (JELLO brand).
But we also have pie fillings that resembles pudding as well and pairs very well with crumbled Graham cookies and whipped cream. They have Coconut, Keylime and Oreo flavors.
I'd be glad to send you a few boxes of each so they can share with their families too! :)

The doctor is right. The brand "Jell-O" and the product "jelly" are related because they both get their name from gelatin, the animal-collagen-derived collection of chemical compounds that give these products their structure and texture.
On the same topic of etymology, animal collagen is also used to make some types of glue. Thus the art form known as "collage", where various materials (usually flat) are glued together into a composition, derives its name from the source of glue often used in its production.

Take care of your hand Mr. Chaudhary and be on the look out for bad bike riders in the future. Watching all of you eat the pudding brought back memories of when my Mother made this for us as kids. I haven't eaten this pudding in more than 40 years now, too sweet for me now. Glad you all enjoyed it.

edit: putting the nilla wafers in the day before lets them get semi-soft by absorbing some of the moisture and lets the pudding set a little firmer...i.e. more like a custard.

This is a very simple banana pudding. People all over America love it, but it's made in varied ways, baked and not. I knew they would appreciate it greatly.

The jello flavor is vanilla. When made with bananas and vanilla wafers the dish is called banana pudding. Yum. Jello does make a banana flavor pudding as well, but the "banana pudding" dish is better with vanilla.

Banana pudding, bananas and Nilla Wafers is a classic southern dish that has been embraced by most of the country. I like it, but with the cookies separate from the pudding and bananas. I don't like mushy Nilla Wafers. I love how they think this would be served at a wedding. It shows you how different their perspectives are, due to their circumstances. These gentlemen have such class. It shows you money doesn't make a person classy, only wealthy. Class is inside a person. It's something they are raised with. These men have very little in the world's view. Yet they are wealthier than the richest man in the world. Even when they are given gifts, they share them with others. A lesson we all could learn. These men make my heart smile. Thank you for sharing them with the world.

This dish you made, is a "comfort food" here in the USA. We call it banana pudding. The recipe was first found on the back of the "Nilla Wafers" box from the early 1900s.
Pudding and jello are two of my favorite snacks. It’s cool to see these guys enjoying it too.

For anyone concerned, it seems that Jello Banana Cream Pudding (as well as vanilla and a few other flavors) are vegan and don’t contain gelatin.
I checked it before I sent it. I've wanted to see them try this for a long time. So glad they followed my directions and made it.

It looked good but u forgot the whip cream which we put in layers or at least on top with those vanilla cookies crushed & sprinkled all over the top & a layer of them on the sides & bottom & a layer in the middle. Layers of cookies- pudding- bananas- whip cream & decorated pretty with cookie crumbs whole cookies & bananas just a few because the Air turns them brown. We have a cold pre made whip cream called Cool Whip that my mother always used that was really good but it has to stay cold which my mom kept in the refrigerator for hours or overnight so the cookies soften up. This is a very popular dessert in America's South. Hope his finger gets better & did it ruin his bike.

Fruit parfait would be an excellent choice to try out next time.
In essence, Jello pudding is flavored powdered custard(basically) mix that you add to milk. The key difference between pudding and custard is custard is thickened with egg and pudding is thickened with something like flour or corn starch.
The cooked Jello pudding recipe requires egg yolk.

You can take graham crackers with chocolate or vanilla pudding and layer them. Line a pan with graham crackers and then spread a layer of pudding and then another layer graham crackers. Do this for a few layers, cover and refrigerate for several hours. The next day, it’s even better. My grandmother who would be 116 or so made this for us when I was a kid. She used to make it for my mom too when she was young. They didn’t have money to buy bakery cakes and this was relatively inexpensive and delicious. You can top it with whipped cream or cool whip.
Now make them the classic summer salad. 🥳
6 oz. package orange jello ; 1/2 c. shredded carrots ; 8 oz. crushed pineapple, drained ;
3 Tbsp pineapple juice or orange juice ; 2 c boiling water ; 1 1/4 c ice cold wate
Prepare orange jello using 2 cups of boiling water to dissolve, stirring well; add 1 1/4 cups of ice cold water to jello to cool. Add the shredded carrots and drained pineapple; mix well. Place in refrigerator to set.

Pudding is something they can make easily from scratch. Just milk, eggs, sugar, corn starch, and vanilla. Interesting that they refer to ice cream as that is pretty much the same recipe except corn starch. Love making this for my grand children.
He said they make pudding with rice and milk.. I learned from my Mexican grandmother to make it with rice, milk, sugar, and cinnamon. We call it atole de arroz. It's so good.
