Run Android Phone Without Battery With Homemade Power Bank

- Today Here we will see in a short time how wiil operate an android mobile phone without using battery or empety battery. To run a old phone without ba ttery we will connect an mobile with homemade power bank or direct charger. We need a wire and self made power bank, where we will connect positive terminal with red wire and negative with black as per specified in battery then we will same procedure apply with charger and power bank.

When you are connecting a usb-powerbank on the battery pins of a smartphone, you are use 14% more voltage as the phone is orginal designed for. Normally it's not a big issue, but just bare in mind that this can possibly could cause a technical failure.
Smartphones need 5volts DC for loading the battery, but the battery itself provides just 4.35volts (and internally the smartphone uses only about 3.8volts).
So if you connect 5volts directly to the pins, normally only the 4,35volt battery connects, you'll slightly overcharge your phone.
I'm using an old Smartphone as a motion detecting security cam. And also have the 5volts connected directly to the pins via a normal 5volt charger in the normal socket. It runs flawlessly (only gets slighty hotter).
Just wanted to point that out to some, who might not know.
Btw the mA vakue shouldn't be a problem.. Everything above 1000mA (=1A) will work in todays phone (incase you wanna use not the original phone charging device)
Can i use a 18650 3.7 volt battery?
I would think that perhaps putting a germanium based diode between one of the power leads and the phone should do the trick for this problem. Germanium diodes will drop .5 to .7 volts for forward bias. The remaining voltage should be just inline with what the phone would expect to see.

Battery is 3.7volts charger is 5 volts. Use capasitor to balance the voltage

What if instead of connecting to the 5V USB of the power bank, you connect it to the power bank's internal batteries since they are 3.7V cells and the phone battery is 3.7V should work better.

rheyjen006 dont follow this youtuber method, if you want you can salvage and old phone battery pack of the same phone. take the battery terminals then solder your positive and negative poles to those terminals. the other end you can connect to 5v. that's how it should be done that's why the video ends without observing the phone for excessive heat

I tried it on an old crappy Nokia Windows phone from ebay and it made the usb cable melt and the phone get really hot. It killed my £2.50 ebay phone!!

this trick very very old i am try it 2005 nokia old mobile
it will fry the phone in no time because the IC can't support 5.22V thats why a battery is required for keeping the rest of voltage and current.this is the most dangerous method.try using a 3.7v charger that will do the job properly.
