I don't think I have ever seen a better HELPFUL and clear lesson ever ever ever. This is what every guitar player wants to learn, understand and digest. Huge respect for you Achim!
Totally brilliant! Chords, rhythm and a breakdown for improv. suggestions all in one video. As a jazz beginner, there's so much here that I can apply to other songs. Thank you.
Guitar lessons I’ve watched that have no words can be confusing sometimes and leave you with questions but this one is beautifully designed, very easy, logical and straightforward. Thanks!!! Keep doing these!!
I am so glad I found this video. It showed me how Jazz music is structured. It made the learning path seem much clearer. I am going to watch this video again and again in the next few weeks. Learn the chords, the arpeggio, and the jazz phrasing. Practice over and over. Thanks for the excellent video.
Amazing lesson. Great sounding guitar tuned right on. Lesson very effective. One may learn from these lessons without the complication most teachers use on CZcams. Congrats Achim.
I have been watching instructional videos on here for many years and I have to say, this is the best I have ever seen. Thank you for sharing your hard work.
A gifted instructor if there ever was one. When playing lead, love the concept of outlining the cords slowly, then applying jazz feeling to them. Such a perfect way to learn. Thank you so much
Hi folks, after nearly 1 million views of my Blue Bossa solo here on CZcams and so many questions "how you do that . . .", I decided to make a lesson to show you how to improvise over the chord progression. As always no talking, straight to point, no wasted time and with my step by step system. You will get the best results by using the additional tabs, neck diagrams and backing tracks available on my website. After working with this lesson you will definitely improvise more melodically with more connections to the comping chords. All the best for your playing and don't forget to practise !
Thanks Rony, I don't use an amp for recordings, I play directly in my audio interface, you hear only the pure sound of the guitar with a little compressor, EQ and reverb.
Your non-verbal teaching method is absolutely perfect! You stay on point and demonstrate exactly what the student needs to know and only what they need to know for the lesson. And in an easy way to understand and follow. So many instructors talk entirely too much! So much that the student can't focus on the point of the lesson. I don't need to hear 20 different ways to play a new chord I am just learning and 20 minutes of the instructor telling how easy it is to play. I think you get my point. Keep up the excellent teaching system you are using. I love it!
Just thank you. Not just for this video, but your attitude as human being and musician sharing knowledge, in an amazing and accessible way. Wish you the best. Cheers from the UK southwest.
I spent a couple of years in music school learning jazz guitar 20 years ago and man alive I wish we had tutorials of this quality available to us at the time. Fantastic!
Thank you for such a clear and useful series of instructional videos. I'm new to guitar and it's a minefield out there. Most lessons are geared towards rock music, and anything Jazz focused tends to be disjointed and no explanation to why. In this lesson alone, you just implied my missing links, how chord voicing fit, why I have to learn my modes like my alphabet, and many other mysteries and you have given my self tuition direction and purpose. Your playing is a joy to listen to and your voice is non existent, you speak louder by saying nothing and letting the lesson flow. I'm blown away. Thank you again.
Great lesson, thank you very much for sharing... I came back to this tune after 11 years of Rock and Pop covers... what a nice musical approach to this classic tune :-) ❤
Thanks for this lesson! Most comprehensive beginner lesson on Blue Bossa on CZcams. Just bought the Tabs and Backing track. Great learning resources to accompany with this lesson. 👍👍👍
Great lesson. I've already looked into the other lessons and wish I could clone myself to get to many of them. I love this style of electric jazz Bossa Nova. Great tone by the way.
Thank you so much for this!!! After 3 hours ( I am not a good player ahah ...) I can play it with you! I am happy! Now let's study to improvisation. Thank you so much ^__^
im in love with jazz for the first time because listening to your autum leaves, and i start it to cover that song. hope you as a my hero on this genre will give me advise. Thanks
As a long time player I really appreciate the no talking aspect. It's just easier to watch what you're doing and copy it.
Right!
@@bettybite3864 Agreed!
I agree Sean no talking less distractions leaves you to simplify thing's.
But your sure need some technical skills lol 😆
I guess this is the right place for an old metal head to start jazz with.
Ha, and this is exactly me right now :-)
Saaame! I love metal and jazz

Top lesson - beautifull sound and playing, very nice guitar, what kind of amplifier are you playing in this video Achim?
Thanks Rony, I don't use an amp for recordings, I play directly in my audio interface, you hear only the pure sound of the guitar with a little compressor, EQ and reverb.
