If the car is having good winter tires it will come out smoothly without any issues. Here in Toronto during the snow storm I drove on snow without any issue! Stay warm and safe in Ottawa!!!
News flash about snow removal contract. It’s only guaranteed upto 250cm. Anything above that is charged at $2 per cm plus taxes extra. Ottawa already has received over 300cm so far this winter.

Keep old carpet strips or carpet samples in the car during winter. Lay them down under the tires when vehicle stuck in the snow for traction.
