    Mr Jay Patel,
I recently received this video where you are providing misleading information about becoming a pilot in Canada. As someone well-versed in the aviation industries of both India and Canada, I must say that the content of your video is highly misleading. Firstly, I want to clarify that being a pilot is not comparable to other professions or being an engineer. Many engineers choose their profession based on the attractive salary it offers, while being a pilot is driven by a genuine passion for flying, the love for being in control of an aircraft, and the desire to soar through the skies. It is not as simple as waking up one day and saying, "You can be a pilot, it pays well."
Becoming a pilot is a pursuit that requires immense dedication and a true zeal for flying. Attracting individuals to aviation solely because of its financial rewards is misguided and can be detrimental. The journey to becoming a pilot involves years of struggle before one even has the opportunity to step into the cockpit of a jet. It is a path meant for those who genuinely love flying and find joy in it.
Furthermore, regarding your remarks about pay, it is crucial to conduct proper research on the aviation industry before sharing any information. Canadian pilots, while not highly paid compared to other professions, choose to fly in Canada not for the glamour, but because their passion lies in aviation. Contrary to your statement, pilots in India are often compensated much better. When considering purchasing power parity, the salary that a first-year captain in India receives is impossible to match in Canada.
Lastly, Canada is renowned for its excellent pilot training facilities. I personally know pilots in India who completed their training in Canada and now fly for Indian airlines. It is a career path where individuals prioritize their love for flying over immigration opportunities. Even individuals of Indian origin with Overseas Citizen of India status choose to fly for Indian carriers. Canada excels in providing training and experience, especially with smaller turboprop aircraft.
I apologize if my words seem harsh, but as someone whose dream of becoming a pilot was not driven by financial motives, I find it disheartening to witness people "encouraging" others to enter the world of aviation with incomplete knowledge. Flying is a profession that requires passion, dedication, and a deep understanding of the responsibilities it entails.

For those with Bach. of Engineerng degrees from overseas, PEO (Professional Engineers Ontario) may conduct an individual assessment of your non-CEAB accredited education when applying for Professional Engineer license in Ontario. No master degrees are CEAB accredited. In addition, PEO eliminated its optional EIT (Engineer-in-Training) program. It does not have any replacement for it yet. Other provinces have different regulations and still have their EIT programs. CEAB=Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board.

If you are Canadian citizen, studied and worked as an engineer (computer, software, electrical, mechanical, chemical, industrial, petroleum, biomedical, etc.), you can work as temporary worker in USA through TN-1 visa of USMCA agreement. TN-1 is a 3-yr renewable visa that can be obtained at US border or Canadian airports for about $60. TN-1 can be renewed as many times as required. Thus, you can have both Canadian and US job markets opened up to you. On the other hand, if you studied IT and CS, these occupations are not eligible under USMCA agreement. Please check the 63 eligible occupations under USMCA agreement. Some eligible occupations are register nurse (RN), engineer, accountant, lawyer, social worker, librarian, professor, computer systems analyst, hotel manager, etc.

    2) Health care occupations (35 occupations)
    3) STEM occupations (24 occupations)

Another list is USMCA agreement's 63 occupations list. Just in case you want to work in USA as temporary worker after becoming Canadian. Forthly, can you afford a university degree or just a college diploma. Your decision will most likely be a compromise.

    Hello,
I really need your help to guide me through my queries as I'm soon planning to move to Canada but there are number of things which I'm unclear about.Firstly I belong to commerce background without maths with 72% and lower mathematics grade with just 35 in 10th.I inquired with different consultants and some of them told me that I can get admission in any commerce course in colleges like GBC, Centennial whereas two of them just gave me only 1 college that was Conestoga and only 1 course that was International business.I had research about it and found that it has a very limited scope for career. And I'm in a situation that I already paid the deposit amount and not able to figure out what to do next.I want to opt for supply chain management course and a college in Toronto.Could you please tell me that how I can deal with this situation and if I want to change the course and college the deposit is refundable or not.Can I get the course of supply chain or finance.

Go to Canada and immediately change course with your college. Then inform IRCC of the change. It is easier to change course if you stay with the same college. Also, they already have your deposit.

I notice something funny with Indian agents. Everyone is talking about how PTE and IELTS will be easier for study permits. But no one is talking about the new Express Entry rules (category-based Express Entry draws from Bill C-19) that will make things tougher for many international students. As seats are diverted based on preferred occupations, the remainder will face higher minimum CRS scores for ITA. In 2023, IRCC published 82 prioritized occupations. When you graduated in 2025/2026, there is no guarantee that the prioritized occupations list will remain the same.

Civil engineering is a 4-yr Bachelor degree in university. After graduation, you can work as EIT (engineer-in-training) without taking any additional exams. This is because undergraduate engineering programs in Canadian universities are CEAB accredited. At this time, you can register with the province as EIT. Work a few years under the supervision of Professional Engineers (P.Eng.). Study and pass Professional Practice Exam (PPE) on engineering law, liability, and ethics. Get couple of P.Eng. to sponsor you and apply Professional Engineer with the province. As civil engineer, you need to be P.Eng. to stamp and seal design drawings. Each province has its own governing body. In Ontario, it is PEO; in Alberta, it is APEGA; in Sasketchewan, it is APEGS, and in New Brunswick, it is APEGNB. Avoid Quebec due to French language requirement for licensure.

As job openings and job seekers are projected to be at relatively similar levels over the 2022-2031 period, the balance between labour supply and demand seen in recent years is expected to continue over the projection period.
