This is the first video under the Steps to Reform India series.
Alphabets in Indian native languages are beautifully structured based on the unique sound generated in the throat, palate, teeth and lips. Because of that the words in these languages were written exactly as they were spoken. The written words were pronounced exactly as they were said before. English script with 26 characters is not capable of representing whole set of Indian native language alphabets. Therefore, lot of misrepresentation happens in the transliteration of these words. Here, I present a case to transliterate the words in Indian native languages using the International Alphabet of Sanskrit Transliteration (IAST) script, which has extended letters to represent missing sounds of the Indian native languages.

Thanks for raising the issue Sir.
But the Indian Gov will never accept IAST coz it will expose the distortion that has creeped into North Indian pronunciation called as schwa deletion. If IAST is implemented they will have to write and read Bhārata and Rāma and so on instead of Bhārat and Rām. This will hurt their Ego and expose the fact that they are not taught the difference between Vyaṇjana and Gunitākshara(Purnākshara)... In fact they are running paid campaign in south of India through News channels, POP gurus, youtubers, ads and also RSS to introduce Schwa deletion in South Indian languages to make them closer to Urdu instead of Samskr̥tam...
Only option is to wait till we have a Gov and a leader which functions on Dharma and Upholds Satya..

Thank you for your comment. Plain English is destroying the structure and beauty of our languages. I don’t see any other option except accepting the IAST.
