I have same gun, I filed very slighty the feedramp. works well with 30 rnd dbl stack mags, 75 rnd drums. Feed it any 7.62 ammo never any problems, 3,000 rounds so far bought it 7/11/12.
google your gun, you'll find quadrails that fit, and adapters to remove the crappy woodstock, and go tactical. I did and enjoy it thoroughly. I burned the wood forend when using rapid fire thru 2 -75 rnd drums. That convinced me to get quadrails on front, AND grippod foregrip/bipod combo. peace.
This was the first AK I have every bought. I just took it to the range the other day and out of the fist 50 rounds I had 7 jams. I used both of the mags you have and two different types of ammo. I was fucking pissed. I dropped it off at the gunsmith waiting to get it back.
sorry and tapco mags.didnt fit without mods. but do fit good after the mods. only own a arsenal SAM now in 5.56, but just ordered a Pap m70. missed the 7.62, now I gotta get more mags, thinking of cdnns' bog of mags deal with the thermold mags. crossing fingers now.
i have one also, I luckily havent had any problems when firing it but if i manually cycle it jams almost every round. I think it is probably the single stack bolt they left in them. It barely picks up the left side rounds in the mag I bought a double stack bolt but am having trouble with it .Let me know how you made out and what the gunsmith did. Thanks
I have the same gun. My bulgarian steel mags work fine. The tapco mags i have had to be filed to fit. They fit now but will not feed correctly. The bolt partially pushes the bullet out of the mag but eventually slides over the cartridge and jams. Any suggestions?
Hey man I have the same AK and one of my mags fires all 30 rounds perfect ever time I'v put 600 rounds through it and no problems , well when I put the other mag in that it cam with it james up 2 or 3 times on a full 30 rounds so I'm gonna do what you said and lube it up how did you do it? take the bottem cover of the mag off or just squirt it in there where you feed the rounds ?
If you actually USE the weapon at the range, after 150 rounds consecutive firing, you'll notice the wood burns, I didn't like having the wood handle compromised. The range master has the video of mine smoldering. I prefer function over aesthetics.I'm not a "tacticool" person, I'm about function and reliability. Peace.
