Such an enjoyable segment exploring the history of tea! I have been to the Tea Plantation twice; once in January when it was cold and wet and then in the spring when we brought lunch and so enjoyed it. The gift shop looks larger than I remember and will have to return. Your rose bowl was a great buy and lovely with white roses. The tea set is so beautiful; your mom knows how to shop and please her daughters. Thank you Paula!

I was in love with the lovely Famille Rose tea set. It is very similar to an English China pattern by Minton.
Here in France, the strawberry cake or ‘Fraisier’ is more complicated than the cake that you cooked today. It is made using several layers of génoise sponge with a cream mousseline and lots of strawberries on top of each layer and halved strawberries are visible round the edge of the gateau. It is usually eaten as a dessert or special occasion cake.
It takes time and patience to make so I often buy one from our local boulangerie (bakery)! I think your strawberry cake is such a good alternative and I am going to try it when my strawberries are in season! Greetings and meilleures vœux to you and your sisters!
Bonjour! The true French strawberry cake sounds absolutely lovely - almost a work of edible art! My cake was definitely the quick and easy version! LOL. But it was really delicious and so simple to make! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and please let me know how you like the cake if you make when strawberry season arrives!

Loved everything about this episode! Just as a side note, a few years ago I had dental surgery and several hours later when I was at home the area began to bleed & would not stop. I called the surgeon who advised I put a black tea bag on the wound. It worked immediately!
Yes!! I have heard that! My daughter had her wisdom teeth out recently and a tea bag was one of the suggestions to encourage clotting. Delicious and medicinal! Thanks for your lovely and kind words. We appreciate you!

Loved watching this relaxing video Paula. I may have to try that cake. It looked so good. I tend to lean to Green Tea and Bigelow is my favorite. We are headed to Savannah on Thursday to visit Marvin's sister. We have not been there in three years so we are looking forward to seeing the Spanish Moss and eating some good sea food.

Hi Laura - it is super easy. I just brown up the ground turkey in a skillet, add the slaw mix and cook until it softens up. I add in fresh ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, a bit of brown sugar, a dash of chinese five spice and some chili oil or red pepper flakes if you want a little spice. :)

The one in this video I purchased at a local antique store. It’s not antique but it is pretty. We are thinking of carrying some pretty ones in our online shop but you could probably find them at tea and spice online as well
