been searching for Thai fighters who has a really predominant use of the long guard/ Dracula guard. Pakon uses it so well here. Keeps it long, chin protected. Then round 4 both guys just don't give a fuck. The Bets must have kicked in by then
Nah man it is because the 4th round is incredibly important. Whoever wins the 4th can then be the “matador” in the 5th. In Muay Thai the Matador is scored higher than the bull. So if you watch Pakorn in the fifth goes back to being a “technician” (which is how he explained himself as a fighter) he knew he won the 4th so he went back to being a technician and Pornsanae knows he needs a KO so he almost frantically tries for it. This was such an amazing fight. I remember it won fight of the year in 2010. You are right about Pakorn and his guard. It is amazing. Only works when you have the reach though. Also the sad fact is gambling does have a massive hold on Muay Thai. That is why fighters like Buakaw almost always had to fight a 4th round even though he was CLEARLY the winner of the fight after the 3. Buakaw has a whole other career in just extra rounds. What I mean by that is he has some 280 extra rounds which would be a very good career for most fighters 🤦🏽♂️. All because the gamblers. Do you train in Muay Thai? If so where? they are both high end boxers that would give any top boxer in their class a run for his money.. they were swining in the end cause they were totallly spent

Incredible fight. I like to watch a more boxing centric fight, with kicks thrown in, I like the style and footwork of boxing more than traditional MT.
pakorn is one of the best ive seen but pornsanae is soemthing else
