    The reality of it is....administrators and staff are the biggest bullies in any shelter

    Part of the problem is the "workers" at the shelter. Not the RA's I mean the case workers. I live under a constant feeling of threat. I didn't used to he homeless. I had a 950 square foot apartment when I had a good job. I lost that job due to a new director who just didn't like me or any of the women who didn't massage his ego. I'm not exaggerating.

      Homeless women especially belong in a homeless shelter. It is safer there and they can get help for their problems and job training and healthcare. It can help prevent problems with Planned Parenthood, prostitution and drug addiction

      There is no such thing as a free lunch in America. Two wrongs don't make a right. Robbing Peter to pay Paul is unconstitutional.

      @@grayflannels176 and putting women's lives above men is constitutional? Women are roughly 24% of homeless here in Canada. I've heard from Paul Elam that the numbers in the USA are about the same, so why would you waste money on people who are a minority of the problem and also have plenty of funding as it is?

      Some people can't or don't want to follow the rules of a homeless shelter. They also probably have difficulty following the rules of society in general. That's why they are homeless in the first place.

    You immediately spewed bullshit when you said it’s called a “hostile because it’s a hostile environment”. That isn’t true at all! It is actually a HOSTEL which is defined as an establishment who helps travellers, the homeless, students etc....

    • @keith7820
      @keith7820 Před 3 lety +2

      Yep. They showed their bias within a few seconds. Add to that the opening sequence of showing a non-descript building, with a fence around it, with snow on the ground, with the "hostile" narrative playing in the background. Aaaaaand go ahead and add a few cops to the scene for good measure. There's no possible way the editors did not know that hostel was not "hostile". I can easily imagine a not-all-there homeless person thinking that. But not the editors of this video. Then some idiot comes on very soon afterward saying "if you put an individual into a setting that isn't a home, then their mental health is already closer to the edge of being in jeopardy..... No kidding. That's like saying people prefer their own home, and if they don't have one, they are not as happy. No fucking shit. I stopped watching before the 1:00 mark.

      @@keith7820 Wow you pinned them down for sure! I love your comment. These people need to realize that some of us are going to speak up and not allow this level of targeting against those who are temporarily struggling. The hostel and their occupants deserve proper reporting or none at all.
