There’s some nasty obese truck drivers that drop off their “loads” in McDonald’s. Damn, that smell lingers for hours. Whenever my family went on road trips we would always stop at McDonald’s just for us to take a dump and we’d leave without buying anything.
Been binge watching these clips. Have to say, soooo happy I got a university education and don’t work these kind of service jobs. Sooooo much manual labour for zero money. This looks horrible and awful!

I worked at an “A” level McDonald’s in Tucson, Arizona many decades ago. I fondly remember the “lobby lady.” She always did an excellent job. She sanitized and wiped all the seating too! Looks like the cleaning towels are the same. Trash and constantly cleaning up after people is a big deal in working with the public!
Back when I worked at Wendy's, 15 years ago, they had seperate cloths and cleaners for wiping the table tops and the seat bottoms/legs. The theory was, the seats were dirtier than the tables so they didn't want to contaminate the table tops.
Even when I worked at the local movie theater while attending my first two years of college getting my associates, I did my best there. All work should be done well and respected in turn. Thank you for running a top notch McDonald's!
Years ago my sister worked at McDonalds in TN. while in college. The motto was “if you got time to lean, you got time to clean.” It was a great store and still is. Now her grand daughter works there as a 16 year old. It’s still a great store! I love McDonalds.

As a lobby person, I usually clean the trays by either wiping them down with a wet cloth, and then drying them with another cloth/towel or by washing and sanitizing them at the sink along with the dishes.
I've worked in a McOpCo-Store in Germany for one and a half year as a cashier (DT). I also worked in kitchen or as a Runner/Presenter some times. But my shiftleaders wanted, that I am work at the Drive Thru, because I can talk to people well. It was an interesting experience. I like, that you work as an employee, although, you are the manager. I was there for 3 years I did a lot 1 Took out Garbage 2 Sweep the lobby 3 Clean bathrooms 4 Lot Check 5 Stacked bread trays 6 Wiped tables and chairs 7 Cleaned counters 8 Washed dishes 9 Swept the kitchen 10 Mopped the lobby 11 Mopped the kitchen Now at Dairy Queen much better I do a lot more now 1 Toast Bread 2 Toast Burger Buns 3 Make Pretzel Sticks 4 Make Bacon 5 Make Ranch 6 Sometimes I go the freezer and grab food for the kitchen Its a lot more fun I quit McDonald's because the last GM was rude. I had also not done anything else I was 4 months away from my 3 year mark. One time I took 31 trash bags in 3 hours.

My boss always told me to spray directly onto the cloth, to avoid getting chemicals in the air in a food environment. This is Australian McDonald’s I’m speaking of. But it’s a good procedure to take on.

I’ve been working at McDonald’s in my hometown for three months now and this was one of the main things I did which was clean the lobby and the bathrooms. Now I moved up to drive-thru and now I’m back on fries again. Unfortunately at our McDonald’s we have to fix the customers drinks and give them all of their condiments now. Every McDonald’s is definitely different 💯

I worked at McDonald’s for seven months and all they ever had me do was clean the lobby. I didn’t really quit, I just stopped coming in because after 7 months of asking to do other things and still getting stuck in the lobby, I’d had enough. I’m not even 17 and I’m working my 3rd job at Texas Roadhouse, it’s not always great, but you get moved around routinely.
That's crazy. One would think they would have needed help with all the other things happening inside the restaurant rather than having you spend all your time in the lobby constantly cleaning it. But on the bright side, it must have been a very clean lobby.
Kinda curious how do you keep the floor not so greasy unlike most of the fast-food chain restaurants that I've been to in CA and GA are soaked in cooking oil.
And the serving trays don't feel greasy. Our McD serving trays feels icky, like if it has been dunked and rinsed after a bacon/water dish water. Bleck!

I don't know if this guy has posted a video on the profit margins or ROI (although I think he just got into this a few months ago?) but I would really be interested in that, compared to what I've read online about owning a franchisee establishment. From what little research I've done to join a franchise, it is a huge investment, with a lot of stipulations and rules coming from the parent company (mcdonalds, subway etc) I have no desire to own one but I am interested in what it really takes to do something like this.
I thought there was one video where he talked about his Dad owning one and he was accepted into the McDonalds Franchise Apprentice Program or something like that. Not sure.
I would suggest to wear gloves when cleaning the tables.. the solution may be a little corrosive to the hands and my hand felt a little burnt even I use the spray bottle and wipe the table without the gloves
Man these American McDonalds restaurants look really badly designed compared to the ones we have in Europe here. Like the layout of it and all. Just looks really awkward and small sometimes

I work at a McDonald’s where I live and I clean lobby on Sundays. I work in kitchen Monday through Friday and it’s great to have a break from kitchen!

You should leave the towel right next to the soda machine. They do that at one i often go to, to encourage customers to clean up any spill they make.
