Excacly so how well did mayweather really do against a none boxer. Yer I'm just a guy on the net who doesn't box and doesn't do MMA . Not to say I've not done it though, but sparing in a ring at a boxing club just isn't the same. And 40!? That's no age man, I'm 52 still got gas in my tank. But mcgregors MMA instincts was too much, but that's got to be expected. I think the other way round mcgregor would have won just with ground work, and well placed kicks. I doubt mayweather has ever felt a shin kick, or the relentless thigh kicks that just make you're leg go numb. And that's what mcgregor would of done, no legs you're really out done if you've no ground work. But still, a fight is a fight, and it went full rounds, but i still feel mayweather on paper would have rolled mcgregor up. Obviously not.

Just imagine how hard it is, for McGregor without grappling, kicks and so on. We saw that right now when Mayweather put his back to his side. He wanted to grab him. It must be really hard if you have a big toolkit but you are only allowed to use 10 % of it.
What are you even talking about? Conor himself was bragging saying I only have to focus on hands? That he didn't need to worry about kicks, knees, takedowns, grappling etc. He was mocking Floyd saying this will be the easiest fight because he literally had to just focus on hands. And did he eat his words! Lol.
If you saw the fight, there were much situations, when he wanted to grab him. You cant focus on your hands only when you trained mma that long. I can just speak from my side. When i for example make a move wrong and learned it like that its veryyyy hard to get it out. I am not hater or lover of them at all. I just need to say respect to Connor. First of all of his balls, because mayweather is the best boxer in the world. And second didnt kick, grab and so on even one time. If i would be at his place, i would forget that 😂

I love both sports to be fair and like to train in both and they are just two different sports. If Connor does the same thing in a Muay Thai fight I give the edge to the Muay Thai fighter just becasue the technique is a little different then when you're in MMA.
I love Conor but you can't say that when he didn't even do that with Nate Diaz & Khabib, talking about "Grappling" and kicking got him to break his ankle.
Floyd was very smart with his strategy, getting him tired by letting him land, then unloading towards the ending rounds

It was stupid by McGregor to believe he could go 12 rounds against a pro boxer of high lignage witha 49-0 scorecard while being used to intense but short 5 round fights.
To me it was obvious he would be dangerous to Mayweather in rounds 1-2-3 and then slow down and get dominated in the rest.
Mayweather actually had a perfect fight plan to the point that he apparently not only beat him but even bet on his own win at the 10th making another bucket of millions. :-D
BTW beating McGregor alowed Floyd to surpass the before unbeaten world record scorecard of Rocky Marciano... with 50-0 in career.

Mayweather said before the fight he was going to make sure the fans go their money's worth. He let McGregor have the first few rounds and barely fought back trying to make it look like McGregor had a chance. When Mayweather finally started fighting, McGregor was stopped in less than 2 rounds. The only thing impressive by McGregor is that it took the 9th and part of the 10th for Mayweather to stop him.

Having won money on the fight, I have to admit that McGregor was impressive-his explosive power was tremendous and his speed amazing. But it was a boxing match, McGregor should have done more cardio, taken a knee when he began to run out of gas and trained with a boxing coach instead of his MMA striking coach.

I just watched this fight, and I have never been so unimpressed by this entertainment. The fights I grew up watching weren't for show, but real athleticism! This was nothing but entertainment.
Floyd is an retired at this point in his prime I doubt Connor would have done as well, all in all very unimpressive
McGregor won a little, he didn't have enough experience, and so he snitched well to Mayweather
For his 1st time in the boxing ring I'd say he did commendably.
