Q is a total legend. Unbelievable life full of virtuoso musicians and pop icons. Amazing how one person could pack all that into one stint on earth...

I love everything Q has done from his Big Band Jazz days to his pop days. But in my opinion the album “The Dude” is one of his best ever. Here we are in 2020 and I still listen to it like it is the Summer of 81. This LP is straight-up🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I agree with you, man. Q is a true hero of mine, along with Herbie. And I love the tune ”The Dude” - written by Rod Temperton, by the way (obviously).

Wow! So much vitality in this music, it's just astonishing. Who can sit still listening to this? Takes me back to 1981 when this stuff ruled the airwaves...my dad had The Dude on the turntable, James Ingram's Just Once and Quincy's One Hundred Ways were all over the radio...so nice to recall.

So good to hear Quincy's actual voice, his background stories to songs, his love and respect for other musicians and his musical vision in the rock famous realms of Tokyo's Nippon Budokan. Amazing to hear some of the best session musicians ever assembled (alongside the impeccable Nobuo Hara and the Sharps & Flats with The Cupid Strings) and vocalists who quite frankly shine among the brightest stars. This may be the closest any of us get to experiencing his live orchestral brilliance. Sublime.

I graduated high school in 1981, and very eclectic musically for an 18yo, all these folks were in heavy rotation for me so this is a real treat - Q, Louis from the Brothers Johnson, Rod Temperton (Heatwave/Thriller), Grep Phillanganes(Thriller), Patti Austin , James Ingram, Toots, John Robinson, and Ollie Brown - with a full string complement!!! All we need is Seida Garrett and I'm officially blown with this one.

This is the creme de la creme of musicians: Louis 'Thunder Thumbs 'Johnson, John Robinson from Rufus on Drums, Greg Phillinganes on Keyboards, Jerry Hey on Trumpet, Rod Temperton who wrote ' Off the Wall & Thriller ' on Keyboards, Ollie Brown on Percussions, and Carlos Rios on Guitar ( Left Handed) . If Quincy ever releases on DVD I'm rushin it ...a must have 💯💥

    Personal observations:
    Awesome concert by Q.
    The band is killer!
Louis Johnson(RIP) on bass guitar is LIFE! One of the best to ever play the instrument.
Respect and RIP to the great James Ingram(January 2019).
Around 52:58: Love how Q worked the horn arrangement from Michael Jackson's 'Working Day And Night' into 'Al no Corrida'...very cool
