Create a FREE Windows Server VPS by using the AWS free tier in 2023

- In this tutorial video i will show you step by step how you can get a FREE windows VPS giving you FREE RDP capabilities for a year by using the AWS free tier. I fistly explain what the AWS free tier is and what free offers it provides. I then show you the AWS free tier account signup screens, before creating an AWS billing alert to warn you if you ever go outside the AWS free tier resources. I then show you how we create a totally free Windows VPS by not exceeding the free resources they offer in the AWS free tier.I then connect to the free VPS by using the built in Windows client called remote desktop connection (which uses RDP)before finally amending the provided RDP file, to both speed up RDP and then map my local drive C (i dont map all the drives as mapping network drives, dropbox or google drive "imaginary" drives has previously caused problems in RDP, where even the mapped clipboard stopped working)

Hi, how would you do the last part for MacBooks?
Everytime I try it says “Remote Desktop can’t find the computer. This might might be mean that it does not belong to the specified network. Verify the computer name and domain that you are trying to connect to”

Followed all as explained in the video and have used vps in the past too.However im not able to connect from my android phone using microsoft rd client.Please help it says Make sure the pc is turned on and connected to the network and that remote access is enabled.Error code 0x204.😢

Every tutorial has the windows EC2 instance running windows OS automatically (8:20). When connecting to mine it only opens up Powershell command line. How do you actually have it run windows OS and not just the command line?

Yeah I finally got it working. Literally so slow that it can’t load google in edge. Pretty worthless to me.
Check your computer's RAM then go back to your AWS account and create another RDP. This time round make sure the instance type you select has a RAM that matches your computer. For example, if your machine has a RAM of 4 make sure the instance type you select is t2.medium. Then follow the process as explained in this video. You can create multiple RDPs btw. Hope this helps.

It's not free for the next year, please check your information. This VM is only free for the first 750 hours of usage (1 month if used constantly), you simply have 12 months to enable and test the service.
