    Looks fun. Thanks for sharing. I think they're a guideline for spears, to be longer than you are tall, to reduce the chance of spearing yourself if you fall.

    hello, guys ! great, simple and very helpful video...i just have one dilema:how actualy does it act under the water ( considering that wooden material tends to float on the surface and most "factory" polespears are made of some light metal materials which have certain sink rate ) ?

    • @KerrOutdoors
      @KerrOutdoors  Před 7 lety +2

      Actually when swimming we don't seem to have and problem with it floating. And if you want to see more check out our video of testing it out in the ocean. Thanks for checking our videos make sure to subscribe for upcoming ones.

    If you're relying on fish to eat or starve. You're going to be a very hungry person. All you're going to spear with that thing as little bitty fish. A big fish oil pill right off of that thing it didn't even have big enough barbs

    What kind of drill bit did you use to round off the edges where the propellant is?

    • @KerrOutdoors
      @KerrOutdoors  Před 5 lety

      We just sort of used what was at hand and just looked about right. Not sure about the exact size. Just match it to the hole you are drilling and the size of the nail or cord to put through it. As far as beveling the edges of the hole I think a variety of sizes would work. You may just have to gage it by sight. Sorry, I know that was probably not the answer you were looking for. Thanks for watching. We appreciate the comments and support!

    it looks like you took too much off when sanding...I can see it wobble a bit...you should under sand it if anything...that way it is more of a s pressure fit and it will not move at all because you have all surface area contacts...the way you have it is air between socket and broom handle...no good...you want that shaft to be solid and not wobble...even with bolt in there will do nothing for wobble...also you may want to put a lock washer on bolt or use lock tight...otherwise it will come off...I build mice from scratch...blacksmith one that is...

    Better question where did y'all get surgical tubing that cheap? My local Home Depot and Lowes have it around $20 for 10ft and that's the shortest I've seen.

    • @KerrOutdoors
      @KerrOutdoors  Před 5 lety

      Hey Ben, thanks for asking. Thanks for checking us out on Facebook as well. Honestly I can’t remember where we got the surgical tubing. If we bought it at a brick and mortar store or if we got it online. Just did a quick search on Amazon and it looks like you can get 9-10 feet for around seven or eight dollars.
