❤️❤️Hello friends, South India is a beautiful part of our country, and what makes me like it all the more is the delicious South Indian food [ South Indian veg thali]. Yes friends South Indian food is surprisingly simple but very delicious. This cuisine is mainly found in the states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala and the union territories of Lakshadweep, Pondicherry and the Andaman and Nicobar islands.
The food consists of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The South Indians love their fish and rice and also take pride in the all popular sambar and rasam which are an essential part of their daily diet. The food is traditionally served on banana leaves and consists of snacks, vegetables, rice , poori's, ghee and beverages. The use of coconut, curry leaves , mustard seeds is very dominant in their cooking. Friends South Indian food is considered to be very healthy also because of the minimum use of oil and not to much of frying and over cooking.
The food is cooked in a very simple manner and is generally tempered in the end.
In this vlog friends we visited a popular part of Mumbai named Matunga. This part of Mumbai boasts of a huge South Indian population and thus a number of South Indian restaurants that are serving people with Authentic South Indian food since many years. Udipi Shri Krishna boarding is one such restaurant that is more than 80 years old and serves the most authentic South Indian thali. The thali consists of 6 vegetables, daal sambar, rasam, rotis, poori's, rice, curds pickles and papads.
The thalis are served in two versions that is the unlimited thali and the limited thali. The place is usually very crowded during lunch hours so please be prepared to stand in a queue and wait for your turn, but I can assure you friends that the food is worth the wait.They serve Thali for dinner too. There is no A la carte so just go there choose your thali and the food will just keep coming.

I'm a South Indian who has spent a lot of years in North India. So I'm acquainted with both worlds. I'm glad that you enjoyed South Indian food. But
1. North Indians cannot help making fun of South Indian accent or habits.
2. I do not know of any South Indian food that includes rotis. Curries are made differently for rotis and rice. So it is not nice to have rotis with South Indian curry.
3. I'm glad you showed that South Indian food is not just idli and dosa (which is pronounced as दोसा and not डोसा).
4. Chaas and dahi are had at the end of a meal.
Having said all that, you still have justified our food. Thank you. 🙏

Vannakam is a tamil word.
The thali you ate was from a Udupi restaurant and the proprietor is a GSB, so ideally you should have spoken in Konkani or atleast Kannada to be relevant.
All South Indians are not Tamilians.
However happy that you enjoyed the meal. It is actually very nice.

Sir... Why are you not washing your hand after using sanitizer. You don't need to use sanitizer. Just wash it your hand with soap that's more good. Otherwise this sanitizer which you applied on your hand goes in your body and it create problems later on in yours body. So avoid using sanitizer. Just wash it with soap. That's the good sanitizer.

sir,this cuisine is from UDUPi,Karnataka .All states in south have different cuisine ,thats typical representation of what they get,also how its been cooked....even in tamilnadu you have tanjore food,madras food,tirunelveli food.....kerala...tiruchur,trivandrum-Karnataka-mysore and Bengalore....mostly in mumbai you will get karnataka based southindian food except few ....lika Ayyapas -tamilnadu....kerala palace in chembur...

Hi I am from Udupi. We speak Tulu language not Malayalam.I enjoyed watching u both and ur love for our food.
Yess. Mangaluru people are talking Tulu not Malayalam. Don't mix up Tulu and Malayalam. And also Malayaali can't make food like Mangalurians. Remember most of the hotels are run by Udupi and Mangalurian only. Not Kerala people
