Omg thank you. Finally someone in the entire internet who knows how to make actual fondant.
My pleasure đ„°
You are the best! Thank you so much.
My pleasure â€ïžâ€ïž
Hi Pamela....my fondant is not pliable....where am I wrong...I knead it well ... Even heated in micro
Hello! The fondant might be too dry due to excess powdered sugar. I usually use less powdered sugar than the recipe but it really depends on the environment and the humidity. Try placing it in the microwave and kneed with vegetable shortening to add moisture! Let me know if it works...
This turned out perfect but soft. When making petals, should I refrigerate it? Thanks.
Hi! No, keep this away from humidity so away from the fridge unless you covered the whole cake and it only needs to be cut. The recipe is not made to make petals, you're going to need to add tylose powder or CMC for that. Or simply buy some gum paste, I recommend Satin ice đ„°đ„°
Can I use agar agar instead of gelatin to get the same result?
Agar agar is a good substitute but it will not give you 100% the same results!
Brilliant clear succint instructions and video! However one question: how much is your 'C' as in 3 C icing sugar and 1/4 C liquid glucose? Thank you and a very merry Christmas to you
Hello! âCâ refers to US cups đ
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Merry Christmas to you too!â€ïž
Can you pls let me know if the liquid mixture should be warm while adding it to the icing sugar.?
Just room temperature âșïž
can I use agar agar instead of gelatine?? and how much
Yes you may use the same quantity, just note that you might notice a bit of a difference in texture but you can absolutely use agar agar when making fondant
This is so helpful
Thank you! Iâm so glad to hear that!
Thank you so much!! Very helpful! What would be the substitute for vegetable shortening?
Glad you liked it! I think any type of vegetable based shortening would work including coconut oil!
Hey. Thanks for the great recipe. Just one thing, I added all of the sugar but it was still very soft. So I had to add 1.5 cups more. Is that okay?
Sometimes i use more and sometimes less then the recipe, it depends on a few factors so as long as you get the right consistency for the fondant youâre good to go!
Great video! One question please..
If we need color, for example red fondant, do we apply this to the ready white fondant or should we make a new fondant and add the color in the receipe?
Thank you :)
Hi! Glad you liked the video. I usually colour the fondant after but you can definitely add gel colour before adding the powdered sugar, that would be easier to incorporate!
Thank u so much
My pleasure!
I want to make accents out of it so do I need to add tylose pw as they r not stable on skewers?plz anw . good recipe.
Hi! This actually dries over time but if you want immediate results add tylose to it âșïž
what else can i use besides gelatin ( i need to make this as quick as possible)
A substitute would be agar agar, sorry if youâre missing ingredients! Maybe go with a marshmallow based recipe, there are many on CZcams!
What if I don't have glycerin what can i substitute?
Hi! Glycerine is a main ingredient in this recipe, if you're looking for something more simple I would suggest trying a marshmallow based fondant âșïž
@@ButtercutBakery thank you for your recommendation! do you have tutorial for it???
@@xypascua1022 unfortunately I donât, there are a lot on CZcams, itâs pretty easy and the recipes are veryyy similar so you can select whichever one đ
Can you use powder glucose instead? If so how much fot this recipe? Thank u
The correct ratio of powdered glucose to water will be 70% glucose powder and 30% of water. So for each 100g of liquid glucose you need 70g of powder and 30g water âșïž
Please what kind of glycerine?or can I use any ?the one I have at home says pure vegetables base..
Hi! I have listed the one I am using in the description box below the video. It's from the brand Wilton âșïž
Thanks đ
Can we skip glycerine ?is it must ingredient?
Unfortunately it's a must! Maybe try a marshmallow based recipe, it requires less ingredientsđ„°
is there anything I can replace glycerine with ?
Unfortunately not because glycerine gives the fondant its elasticity!
Omg i don't have glycerine.what do i do?
Try searching for a marshmallow based recipe â€ïž
Once the fondant is ready... Can we start using it or we have to store it for sometime
Yes you can! After storage you need to kneed it again so đ€
can i hav exact measurements in ur ingr. đđ
Full recipe posted in the description box âșïž
Can you tell me please how make fondant with marshmallow?
Hi! Iâll be making a video for that đ„°đ„°
Thanks đ
My pleasure!
What is substitute for gelatin I don't get agar agar also đ
Iâm sorry, i think the only substitute for gelatine is agar agar and you canât not use it in the recipe. A good substitute would be trying a marshmallow based fondant!
Flavouring means vanilla essences?
Yes, vanilla is a preference of mine in fondant. But make sure you use clear vanilla essence đ„°
What does the glycerine do? Is it really necessary to put in the fondant?
Unfortunately the glycerine is important because it gives fondant its elasticity. But the good thing is that it's pretty cheap! You can find the link of the product in the description box under the video! âșïž
@@ButtercutBakery Thank you!
Well done
Thank you!
how can we store it nd for how many day
Store in a ziplock bag and remove as much air as possible. Homemade fondant can last up to 2-3 months. Never store in the fridge or freezer đđ
Exceptional..
Thank you!
Can we skip glycrine
Unfortunately not in this recipe! You can search for a marshmallow fondant recipe đ„°
Great video. I subscribed.
Thank you! đ„°đ„°
Im seriously not getting glycerin right now
Is there any other substitute??
Unfortunately the glycerin gives the fondant its elasticity and there are no substitutes, none that i know of! You can always try a marshmallow based recipe in this case!
I made my fondant using melted butter ... Not glycerine....
Glycerin according to me retains moisture and so does butter
Nice
Thanks!
What is the substitute of gelatin
Agar agar would be a substitute âșïž
Buttercut Bakery thank you đ
do u have a list of ingredients? i cant see it in ur videođ
Yes! In the description box under the video đ„°đ„°
how long can u store it? plz rply and much much love from assam
You can store this for 6months đ or as long as your ingredients are good!
@@ButtercutBakery tq
Hi everyone! Great video! Should we store the fondant in room temperature, fridge or freezer?
Ma'am after that what you have been taken in that bowl
Iâm sorry I didnât understand your question?
Hi mam wtz tat vegitable
If u dnt have shortening
You can use coconut oil if you have some. Otherwise, a vegetable shortening is required!
Will try it soon thank you
My pleasure â€ïž I hope you will like it!
Is thay 2 tbsp water? Looks more than 2 tbsp
Yes, exactly 2 Tbsp of water to put the gelatine and Lemon juice in! âșïž
Buttercut Bakery Ok. Will try this recipe. I have tried some similar recipes but never got my fondant pliable enough
Hello
Can I buy glycerine from medical shop, is this similar?
Hello! Sorry Iâm not really sure so I donât really have an answer. I use the one by Wilton.
Can I use vinegar instead of lemon juice
Sorry no substitute for lemon in this recipe. Vinegar might leave a strong aftertaste đ€·đŒââïž
Let me know if you need anything else! âșïž
Buttercut Bakery oh its ok đđ
@@ButtercutBakery cry
I don't have gelatin powder đđ
Oh no! You can always try a marshmallow based recipe! Unfortunately, I don't have one yet but there are several ones on the web! â€ïž
Not have recipe without gelatin
I will be working on a recipe without gelatine âșïžâșïž
My sugar is not disloving i
I hv used castor sugar plz suggest something
Hi, did you use castor sugar for the fondant or to make glucose at home?
@@ButtercutBakery i hv used for making fondant
@@ButtercutBakery and its giving crunch feel
You should use powdered sugar to make the fondant! Castor will not melt and youâll feel the granules đ„ also it will not give the same results at all!
I appreciate how u used gloves bcause u have ur nails colored. Other vloggers use a reason theyre only serving their family which is very innappropriate
I always wear gloves when it gets messy. Received a lot of hate on my long nails so I had to cut them, still coloured though đ I appreciate that you noticed and took the time to write a comment â€ïžâ€ïž
