When Kadim Al Sahir comes in. The tears start for me every single time. I am a guy. This part of the song really gets to me. I have no clue what he is saying, but I feel the words he is singing. What a beautiful addition he is to this song.
I have done it, I've repeated the part where he is about to sing so many times, coz it's such a beautiful piece, his voice, how he sang, the Arabic words that I could only understand "Salam Allah" and nothing more, but boy.. that's the best part of this song for me too! Very emotional part!
Being a victim of this crustal war is so painful. It's been over 2 decades now, and I'm still haunted by the fear of being killed by an American solder and the fear of my family being taken away and killed in the middle of no where.
This song is extremely grieving for me... Not only does it remind me of the 2003 war due to the release date, but it also reminds me of the time when my people in Iraq were very optimistic thinking that the war was actually over, when we in fact witnessed the worst days of our lives , and we are witnessing still, due to the endless wars that broke after 2003, hell gates were opened upon us. Thanks, Bush... We'll see you in hell.
Sarah Brightman´s album Harem was released in 2003. The song “War is over” is an exquisite and beautiful song, I can listen this song all day and still feel the emotion each time. Sarah´s voice is magical, beautiful and she is so sensuous. She sings with such emotion and beautifulness. There is nothing I don´t like of this album, I love all the songs. I also love Kadim al Sahir´s voice. I recommend it because is pure gold, together they are incredible.
