Great tune . Dickie Betts says he wrote this watching his baby daughter crawl about the room . Was trying to capture the wonderment of a small child as they explored the world . What ever it was , he wrote a masterpiece

Glad I could pass that along . If I recall correctly this was the flip side of the bands hit 'Ramblin Man' . I found it on the jukebox where my wife and I were having lunch . We were expecting our first child and decided to name it Jessica if we had a girl . That was some fifty years and three sons ago . But the name was used seventeen years and three sons later . It's not every little girl has a song bearing her name . 😂

It was my turn to drive on a recent road trip I took with my family through the middle of Queensland here in Australia and I was on one of the many straight stretches of road when Jessica popped up on my playlist.I went from 100 kms an hour up to 160 and hadn't even noticed. It's just as well I had the road to myselfand just as lucky I didn't run into a stray policeman. What excuse could I use?The Allman Brothers and Jessica made me do it........actually could be a plausible excuse for going that speed.....maybe.

This is one of those videos where the whole package really takes you back in time... gritty image quality, questionable fashion choices, groovy vibes, et al.

First - the Allman Brother are NOT typical. They are one of the finest bands to ever. Second, let's see, they basically created a genre all it's own, and, hummmm... Betts wrote this masterpiece. Anyway needless to say, they are just the best live... like no other. As for the structure of their "jams", EVERYONE stands out, and everyone is a part of the whole. Which in my opinion is exactly why they are and were so good.
