I loved Elijah and he was my favorite character until the Originals where he literally had just become a selfish hypocrite. In which the show would directly state at times even having other characters tell him that. But then at times they would also make it as if he’s not and so it would confuse me at times. The show would sometimes paint Klaus in a bad light as well even though they were the ones constantly betraying Klaus and throwing him under the bus. They’ve pretty much all plotted to kill Klaus even though Klaus is the literal only reason that they were all alive and Klaus would literally just forgive them constantly. They preyed on Klasu’s emotions constantly, they knew that he would always forgive them because Klaus’s only fear is being alone without a family and so they knew that they could just treat him like garbage and then come back when they need him. The Originals really made me start to hate all the Originals, Kol was just a selfish bastard who only cared about himself and then complained and wondered as to why they never allowed him to join their trio, Rebekah is a crybaby who just likes to blame other people for everything literally she plotted to and coulda got Klaus killled and she didn’t even admit her fault and she literally said yeah she did that but it was Klaus’s fault for pushing her to that point. Finn honestly, I can’t really say too much about him, him disliking his family is valid and I guess I just dislike that he’s tried to kill them 🤷♂️. Elijah was just a selfish hypocrite who would constantly betray Klaus and throw him under the train at 1000 miles per hour and then get mad when Klaus does the same back to him. And that’s literally also why Elijah had always stuck with Klaus and tried to bring Klaus back from the darkness because he knew full well of all the things he was doing and that he was at fault and that his actions are partly directly responsible for Klaus being so crazy and so he felt responsible and that his punishment and atonement would be being forced to stay by Klaus’s side until he finally just decided to revoke always and forever and then finally showed his true colors 🤷♂️
