Damon is an actual genius and I DO NOT use that word lightly. He's made such a vast range of different music and really knows his stuff. Can't wait for the bands new album!!!
Damon is great only in Blur. TGB+Q made a very promising first album and sporadic second one. His Gorillaz output reached its zenith on Plastic Beach. His solo work, and other lesser projects seem tinny and equivocating. I do believe (like Prince) he stretches himself too thin. I am unsure whether this stems from over confidence, venality or boredom.

He's not doing new music to one up himself each time, he's doing it because he loves to make music and innovate, always changing and trying different things. He (nor Prince) stretch themselves too thin. Its called having a passion for something and not caring what people, like yourself, think about it: they're making it for THEM because they WANT to.

Proof that really (like we didn’t know) in the Blur vs Oasis debate, well, there’s no debate to have. Well we know where to go if they ever need to recast the Gopher in Winnie the Pooh. The new single is really memorable, I like it. I hear auto tune on his voice though. Maybe I should just get over it.
Damon is very insightful and his perception of society now is 100% correct. He writes as a third person in the room able to see the full story . This record also contains his own experiences and emotions.
The band aren't all politically left leaning. Alex James is a Tory supporter. He's part of the Chipping Norton set and buddies with Jeremy Clarkson and David Cameron.
