Several months ago I was doing a search for covers of "It's Getting Better" and these guys were among the few covers available that played this song. I was utterly blown away by how incredibly accurate they were able to reproduce not only the song, but the entire Sgt Pepper's album from start to finish on stage before a live audience. These men (and women) aren't trying to be a Beatles tribute band by dressing in costume and playing only select songs. They are being themselves, relying on their collaborative musical talents and passion to revive and keep alive some of the greatest music of the last half of the 20th century. The fact that they are Dutch, and yet sing in English without any trace of a Dutch accent is equally as amazing. The bass player has done an amazing job of gathering all these fine musicians together, procuring authentic instruments of the time period, and painstakingly dissecting, analyzing, and learning note for note the Beatles music is something truly unique. I'm so happy to have discovered this group....I share them with my friends, family members, and co-workers. Thank you Analogues. I wish you continued success and hope you bring your music to the US, particularly Southern California which is where I am.

They aren't just covering The Beatles - it's more like they're *channelling* them from some parallel dimension, where they didn't break up. I watch this sort of thing and wonder what would have been if they had ever put aside their differences, gotten back to playing live shows, and realized just how unique and amazing they were.
I am a fan of Beatles and also retired..in the 70s. As a far I know, no one comes a close as this band...especially the lead singers. Absolutely good! I will I could buy their albums.
The Analogues are truly not a cover band. They are an orchestra that faithfully replicates every note of every measure for every Beatles tune they've ever orchestrated.
I can still recall the first time I heard this on the radio in 1967. I was 13 years old. I thought the song had ended at 2:45 ... but I was wrong and pleasantly surprised. I remember dancing around the room at that point for about 45 seconds

I love how the violinist in the middle has a smile during the whole performance. It is as if he just can´t believe that he is part of this rock band playing a hit song or that this piece of art is coming out of them, and that HE, of all people, is a part of it! How envious I am of him. What a great performance. Keep it up.
Is there anything better out there, I think not. These guys are absolutely the best band to ever perform the songs from the Beatles. A perfection not seen by other cover bands. This band is truly amazing and deserve a place in music history.

When they recorded their later albums the Beatles could not re-create them live (even if they had wanted to) because the on stage technology did not exist. With John and George gone this is the closest we are ever going to get to hearing it live now...........unless they can get Macca & Ringo to join?
I have now binged on these guys (why didn't I hear them before?) and they are without a doubt the *best* Beatles catalog concert band I have ever heard. Bravo!
Very, very good, almost note perfect!! Only let down is the missing "Heba-Hello" at the end, not sure why they missed that. Apart from that, FANTASTIC job! This is like the perfect "simple" pop song, but it's NOT easy to do or to sing at all!

I am not going to criticize the Analogues, since they are by far the world's best Beatles cover band and do amazing jobs on every single cover version that they do - they are a joy to listen to. All I will say is that the one impossible thing that no cover band could ever do is to mimic the way the Beatles blend their vocal harmonies ( think "Because", "Rain", "Paperback Writer" and dozens of other songs ). If the Analogues could do that - then there would be no need for the Analogues, because we might as well just put on a Beatles album. (🙂
I love this song and have listened to the original countless times. I could have sworn the repeat chorus was "Hela, hela hello-a" but these guys sing "Hela, hey hello-a." Have I really misheard it all these years - or are they just having fun?!
I can imagine that John did this one with gritted teeth but the sound and vibe was just great. I was 16 and someone somewhere has a Monkees style video of me and my mates pratting about at muddy Tilbury Fort outside London with this as the background music - priceless. Macca always had the ear for a great tune and never forgot it was just entertainment.
