Presented with love and gratitude for the artists and producers of this excellent work of art. I only hope to bring the same joy and appreciation I have enjoyed to all who take the time to listen.

I was playing an intense game of poker when this live version played for the first time in the background of the room. Neko and the band lit up screen and blasted out of the speakers.... Everyone stopped and just stared in amazement until it was over. She has one of the greatest voices I've ever heard, the arrangement is perfection
Just discovered this song on a compilation CD I found in the bargain bin at Goodwill. I might be late to the show but I am blown away by Neko Case - her voice, her lyrics, her emotions ❤️❤️❤️
I'm 2 years behind you, Neko is amazing.
I like the accompanying singer. Shes staring at Neko with such Admiration
Thats Kelly Hogan, a frequent collaborator with Neko.
One of the top albums of the 21st century so far. Never gets old.
Still true a decade later
This is my favorite rendition of "Star Witness". The harmonies are prominent and the coda is divine.
Very much so!
Every live performance, the back-up artists (you can see) are 100% concentrating on their performance like their life depended on it: while Ms. Case is just goin on emotion.
She doesn't look drunk, she's focused! Also LOL at all you guys who apparently think it's possible to sing in close harmony like that while smashed.
My god! What a voice! I only wish I had "discovered her" years sooner. A well, I've seen her many times in the last 4 or 5 years and she's is as amazing a songwriter as she is a singer!
I cannot go a day without listening to this song at work and in the evening.......masterclass, pure brilliance
this album is a masterpiece makes me cry every time...
First song of hers I ever heard, 14 years ago when Pitchfork had their Infinite Playlist, and this was a free download. A North American treasure.
First one I heard, too, when my friend used it as her profile song on Myspace circa '07-'08.
Kelly Hogan is so lovely.
Truly a great performer and does not disappoint live.
Just astounding and beautiful. What a great song, and what a great singer!
Wow , I love my screaming guitars but this song went right into my bones , Thanks for your great music Neco Case!!
I have not been here since...this CD came out, that was 2006.
Five star album. Saw her and company at Joes pub in NYC and this IS an excellent version. Tremendous.
What a beautiful work of art by this group.
My true love drowned in a dirty ole pan of oil, drained from the block of Falcon Sedan, 1969...the paper say 75 . There were no survivors, none found alive.
Queen of the world!
Simply magnificent!
No genre. I love it.
Incredible. I love this song and Neko and band are perfect fit for this.
She is wonderful
Love it, love it, love it! Quirkey and nostalgic and dream-like... just love it!
fantastic singer
I love this woman
I'm impressed..and encouraged by her pushing on the boundaries of songwriting..even inspired to some degree..which I can never find enough of..never heard of her before..she was on the guest panel of "wait wait don't tell me"
I couldn't love this more!
Holy s**t, this performance is good!!
props to the backup band.
I'm very happy you enjoyed it.
The guitar players are phenomenal. So is the voice.
Just perfect.
Fkn love her
There was nothing wrong here. Not sloppy and rushed...and, yeah, it's a great song. I absolutely love her music...such a hauntingly, beautiful voice.
Let the haters fucking hate, Neko. You know you do what you do.
This version sound a lot more Western - I love it.
This to me is the epitome of mid-'00s aesthetic
Gorgeous
Hidden Gem
For all you people saying this was sloppy or rushed. You speak as if you're already musically talented and have been playing a long time. YOU try getting up there and doing a better job. Then let me look you in the eye and say that your effort was just sloppy and bungled.
If Neko is drunk who gives a fuck? She kicks ass and most of our lousy sound cant sing so shut the fuck up!! I love you Neko!
Yeah, when I've seen them her band almost always rushes this one and draaaaags through "Maybe Sparrow".
@anderbroadman Hi. What's "buckled" mean to you? I feel like i know somehow, and if i'm right, then i really like it-- except i really i don't know. Tell me?
Anyone know who the drummer is? It’s obviously not Mark Belitsky. The pattern he played on the record is deceptively complex. Sounds easy at first, then difficult when you really pay attention, then you think you got it but nope. Not sure if he’s doing the hihat with his foot or the brushes.
Al Franken on steel guitar...!
Kids: This is how it's done
WOW. No Twerking or flashing skin. Just talent. Neko is SO underrated. Love you both - Neko and Kelly.
What a great song. Buckled, but great.
maybe what was meant was "bungled"?
sloppy and rushed; too bad it's a great song
