In 1976 ownership transferred to Govt. Of india
June 2018 LIC got the approval from IRDAI to increase the stakes in it.
21st January 2019 LIC acquired 51% Majority stakes in the IDBI Bank
and became Pvt.
March 2019 RBI clarified in the press release.
LIC is govt owned so how come IDBI is private?

Sir , you mentioned min paid up capital for sheduled commercial banks is ₹25 lakh but in most of the places I have seen it as ₹5lakh, even some teachers are also teaching ₹ 5 lakh as min paid up capital for scbs , please clear this doubt of mine sir 🙏

Hey Supriyo great work, thanks a lot! I'm preparing for Rbi Grade B nd wanted to know if a part time or distance mba would be beneficial? Does the interview panel judge you over it? Also I'm graduating this year and want to give my complete attention to rbi prep instead of running for a full time mba program.. please guide!
no MBA would not improve your chances, though the topics in a Finance MBA might help to a degree in your RBI prep. But at the same time you will be asked tougher questions if you're an MBA (interview is very profile-centric).

Supriyo sir, Neo banks are scheduled or non scheduled bank? Just like Fampay.
They are non scheduled banks. We can't actually call them banks. Basically fintech companies tied up with traditional banks and used AI/ML tech to create these "neo banks" (the term is popular abroad), RBI will probably define them as NBFCs later on but now they are operating with traditional bank partners, some examples are RazorPayX, PayZello, Niyo Solutions etc.

Good question. Because some of those non scheduled banks are too small. If RBI allowed everyone then there could be misuse. Plus, anyone getting access to Repo has too many compliances to do. The small banks don't have the skilled staff and time to do that. They usually don't need to daily manage huge cash so liquidity requirements are less.

yes it has been a big confusion for students. Try to cover the latest months very well. So Aug, July, June should be your primary targets now & then go backwards. Do it in the reverse order, that's a better way to cover.
