I understand you may have different customs of proper behavior in front of a child. However, I have read a while ago that proper affection "rated G" between parents (ie: kissing, hugging, holding hands) makes the child more secure about the parent/parent/child relationship. Telling them parents don't kiss may skew their perception of what a healthy marriage is. I welcome all/any responses.
they kiss now... at this time they didn't do it in front of her. Cultural norms were different in the eastern areas of the globe. I was born in India and never saw my parents kiss. Even my brother and sister in law did not kiss in public. But I know kids who are growing up in India now do kiss in public. The global culture has changed as time has passed because the PDA displayed in the dominant social culture (mainly American) has sort of set the standard of behavior. In this way, American soft imperialism has pretty much won out.
