Yup. Normally that is the case in a majority of all interpretations. Mickey is objectively the most naturally talented. He never feels the need to take things seriously because his older brothers were there. Btw he is the youngest.

Because each weapon represents something about each turtle take raph for example the hothead of the group gets a defensive weapon leo who doesn't like killing gets given katanas because sometimes you have to kill in order to protect what you love

Splinter gave him these weapons so he can focus more. The more skilled you become the better fighter you can be. They both go hand in hand. Skill comes with the experience. Every weapon was given for reasons to the Turtles. But we all Know Mikey loves to joke around. Leo isn't the best Fighter either Raph is actually the better one of the two, but do to Raph being a hot head it overrides him a lot.

Mikey was always the most natural. It's why he was able to be the one that was like this. He was able to be a child, able to have fun because his brothers took all the other issues, so he tried to be cheerful for them and himself.
This comic make me learn that in this world, there is no place to be weak and you could be in a situation were you fight alone to acheive your goals. It tell me to not give up, it just hits hard,Very emotional story.
Not going to lie. I cried after I finished the series. Being a child of the 80’s I loved the turtles. It made me remember the good times. And the pain of my father and brother being gone. I have one brother left and we are all we have. Reading the story I truly felt Michelangelo’s pain. Sad but great read read.
I'm 31, and for practically all my life i've loved Mikey so much When I discovered this arc and learned about, my heart broke so hard. I love t so much, but.... idk. Poor Mikey.
I've always believed Mikey is secretly the most powerful because he has the most potential. He is as skilled as his other brothers but only works halfway and applies his skills the least. The Last Ronin basically proves my point in that when he applies himself he becomes as formidible as all 4 turtles together.
I believe canonically he always was the most naturally gifted of the turtles, he just lacked the discipline to harness it because he was always a goof. I mean he used two seperate nunchucks as weapons the coordination alone to master that would be insane.
They say he has potential to be the best turtle that's why he was given the nunchucks because they are the hardest to master of all the weapons. He mastered it so imagine if he wasn't clowning around he'd be a beast. Like in the last Ronin
I believe that is why he was given the nunchaku weapon. To help keep him focused. I always took that as he didn't need the practice the others did just needed focus.
The funny thing is is that they took none of that into consideration when they chose him. They simply did it because he was viewed as the least likely to be the Ronin.

I met Kevin Eastman at comic con and he told he was working on this for a long time. He also said that he choose Mikey because that was his favorite turtle. He was the best part of comic con.
It's amazing how the story becomes darker while we ninja turtle cartoon fans have grown up. The fact that I love mikey that day, this time he got something to get through. I'd wait to watch the movie, series, games or anything, cuz i need it.
The concept of Mikey being the only one alive has been around since the 2003 turtles, and it was interesting even then. It’s from an arc called, “Same As it Never Was”, and it is absolutely HEARTBREAKING.
The 2003 series is actually really good and there’s always been this idea in the TMNT mythos that Mikey is actually lowkey the best fighter out of all of them
I bought the Last Ronin comic, (the one that contained all 5 of the stories and put it into one story, one comic) and it was expensive. It was like, $30 or something. As a HUGE TMNT fan, I was really looking forward to reading it and it was AMAZING. Probably the best comic in the entire franchise. (2nd being the TMNT X Batman crossover, Power Rangers x TMNT crossover, and TMNT Reborn) I love how dark, gritty, and how much blood it has. This is not related to Last Ronin, but I finished reading all 5 current issues of TMNT: Lost Years, and honestly, I'm hyped for the rest that's coming in November. Heck, I'm so hyped, that I _pre-ordered_ the rest of the series on Amazon. The New Turtles are pretty interesting, ngl. As much as I miss the old Turtles, I'm very intrigued on the adventures yet to come for the New Turtles. (Sorry, I know I steered very off topic but I just can't help myself when it comes to TMNT)
In teenage mutant Ninja turtles 2 the arcade game that was released back in the mid-90s Michelangelo had the strongest weapon. It was known even then that he had the potential to be the most powerful
I always admired the style and design of the turtles in the live action and I see it is also used here. It makes the turtle look more like a urban ninja with all their weapons and tools.
That is seen with how he spars with splinter and why he was the one who chose the hardest weapon to master. Mike does not care about proving himself but when he is forced to he steps up and shows he really is the most dangerous of the four. In a few comics and tv shows they hinted and slowly revealed this, but his care free attitude is why no one but his pops notices.
You should look up the original TMNT RPG books that came out in the 80s. The third book titled Road Hogs (humanity has collapsed) has a very elderly Raphael as the sole survivor of the tmnt team defending a town from a mad max style gang. It is a shame they never expanded on this.
My brother in law got me hooked on this series. It's so dark and deep, especially since it's Michaelangelo. I heard that they might be making a movie about it...hope they can do the storyline justice.

I got the hard cover for this series and I read the whole story. Just a heartbreaking story but beautifully written. You can tell he was going through alot. Hurting and being left alone.

I always thought the last ronin would be Ralph. But to see no broken shell lmk it wasn’t him. Found out it was Mikey man & was like damn. To see a happy go lucky character turn into a serious guy with vengeance is dope as hell.
Once he puts away the comics and video games, and sets his mind on training and focus, Mikey could lay put all three of his brothers with little difficulty. He has that much potential

They say he has potential to be the best turtle that's why he was given the nunchucks because they are the hardest to master of all the weapons. He mastered it so imagine if he wasn't clowning around he'd be a beast. Like in the last Ronin.

I got the hard cover for this series and I read the whole story. Just a heartbreaking story but beautifully written. You can tell he was going through alot. Hurting and being left alone.

The reason Out of the Shadows is goated (unpopular opinion) Is instead of being all dark and serious, that movie is non stop fun.
I do think the Micheal Bay films are over hated, the sequel was very enjoyable imo.

Once he puts away the comics and video games, and sets his mind on training and focus, Mikey could lay put all three of his brothers with little difficulty. He has that much potential
I loved Tmnt since I was one years old and this is the one of the best Tmnt stories ever to me it was sad truly is one of the best Tmnt stories
