I love when old engine fires up. I have audi a6 allroad from 2002 and i really love when it turns in the morning and makes smoke. I soo much love that clear diesel motors
I feel sorry for the engine on the 8830 it was screaming stop doing this to a coold engine . I hope my guys ever do this to my tractor or any of my equipment.
I don't know why that Volvo loading shovel is smoking like that, Volvo have one of the best cold start systems available with their preheat system in the inlet manifold which stay on after initial start up to stop all this pollution.
Jon the lamb that was the big one the 747 was the largest tractor big budd made it had a v16 two stroke Detroit the clip you seen was from the early 2000s when she was still on a farm working
But a john deere 2130 can sit for months and never be touched, yet when you go to it that months later it will ALWAYS start immediately! John deere 👍🏼👌🏼👌🏼
An absolute no no to Rev it up, just enough pedal to keep it running. Also no either. Use your block heater or do what I do. I have a ‘73 diesel without block heater. I use a high power hand held industrial blower. I lift the air cleaner off and put the blower in its place. After a couple of minutes she starts right up!
@@flyguy5941 BTW.. what kind of machine you got that engine in? I grew up on a small farm, fairly poor , so we only ever had a Ferguson 20 and then a Fordson Dexta . Now my brother farms it kinda just a hobby but got a big Fiat and beautiful little MF35x . But near us was a quarry and we would hear their big beasts start up and work all day. At weekends we could sneak in and crawl all over those giants. Happy days .
@@jimbanda we were poor too, but I guess we really didn’t know at the time. We had a quarry near us too. It was closed but we would go swimming. That was dangerous but young and dumb. Lol. Be safe!

All those tractors in the video must be fucked up in the engine. I have an early 1980s Ford 4100 and it starts *immediately* and runs 100% smooth from the moment you start it up - even when it´s minus 10 degrees celcius. And PS: Yes, I know some of the tractors in the video have probably been standing outside in the open for a long time without running
+LifeOfAnEnglishman - My Ford 4100 is standing around for probably 5-6 months on average between start ups. It ALWAYS starts up on the first turn of the key and it runs smooth
+Masseyman6480 - Yeah, I guess you are right. There is probably a difference between the engines when it comes to how easy they start up and how smooth they run right after start up. In addition the battery-strength also has great importance, I guess.
Such of a familiar sound, I was born and raised into the diesel industry and even at 68 years of age they still getting my attention.
The smell of diesel is pure heaven!

I love the smell of diesel... A good start up in a barn nothing better than that 👍
The turbo spool on the second one 😍😍🤤
Right off the bat, a Volvo bm. I’ve lived around those Volvo’s. Bloody awesome.
I think its safe to say that these diesel engines don't like to left unused & unstarted.
2:50: lungs: hm this smells nice
If your equipment doesnt scare you a little bit, you bought the wrong model, lol.
The smell of the disel is very good l love it
One good thing about those engines cranking excessively before start up is they get pre-oiled.
All good, but I loved the sound of the turbo in the second clip. 👌
All k700's have that
I love the smell of diesel
Smelled better when it still had sulfur in it.

I can smell it whole day. It smells soooooo good
This is my favorite environmentally friendly video 👍👍lol

That Volvo sounds like a moped when it was starting lol
We got a ih 1586 and when you start it it whistles like a champ
Those are some amazing tractors. Still a lot of them working every day.
It is scary when a diesel runs away that is pure evil
I hate to inform you but the big bud 747 was not a cold start it had a field cultivator hooked up and I bet it is welkers tractor and flexi coil
I feel sorry for the engine on the 8830 it was screaming stop doing this to a coold engine .
I hope my guys ever do this to my tractor or any of my equipment.
Those idiots need fired.

DyingHertz Yes if course I Do! ;P My father is a truck driver after all!
6:30 finally some didn't rev the piss out of a cold engine.
it's not t150 native engine, this is swap from old scania v8
they could use a little bit of starter spray, it helps the starter's life a lot :)
DJLemon29 also causes premature engine failure if used in the wrong hands haha
Shut up
9:48 that’s nice
Does that big bud have a 2 stroke? Sounds like a Detroit
Yup, it is. Twin charged v16 detroit diesel.

Great way to cause a run away mate
so many cold engines getting beat up wow :D
need throttle to keep them running

Should be noted that the engine on that T-150 is actually taken from a Scania truck.
Why do people rev up cold engines, talk about abuse!
i would just have the engine just abit higher than idle rev to not have it stall and have it warm up a bit faster before actual use
because they shut down
They would stall if left idling.
I know right, let it idle or if it’s not gonna idle give it a touch of gas. Revving a cold Diesel engine is a good way to blow 7 grand...

Ben Bews With ZETOR same situation.L have an 4911 is extra
Some of these sat for years. An engine should be able to start even after a year...
It all depends. What the exact conditions were, the state the motor was in last time it was ran. There is no black and white answer.
but when the tractor breaks down your gonna be paying alot of money to repair the stupid things just get some blue
