So the beauty with this set up is that it doesn’t look like there has been much done however everything has been tweaked just enough to improve the way it works without causing an issue with reliability or ease of use.

Great entertainment Rich. Another very impressive vehicle owned by this Gent. I like the twin the water and fuel tank positions.
Yea nice and low to keep the weight where it should be.
Quality build. Really like the idea that you've kept within sensible tolerance 👌
She's still 300kg under GVM when fully loaded for an expedition and 2 occupants too 😉
Love this vehicle. 👍👍👍
I do too
Thank you
Great vid Rich. Great vehicle with a lot of awesome touches
Thanks 👍
Another great video, awesome 👌 cheers, Rich catch you on the next one.

Great bit of kit, he’s built a good one there 👌
❤
That's a Fab piece of Kit 🇮🇪🚐👍😀

Glad you enjoyed it
Very nice indeed!
Loving these vehicle tours! Good to see a Puma getting some love but gotta disagree with Liam on the 2.2 being the better Puma unfortunately haha
Yea I need to get a few more tours in this year Iv been slacking.
cool vid
Thanks
Hi pal just catching up on your videos. Love that build 👍 hope you're well 🤘 OUT
All good at this end pal. Hope your alright
Was lucky to have a walk round these trucks at yours and Jakes meet, the build quality is second to none, absolute works of art, and used how they should be as well 👌🏻
I can’t wait to see what he starts putting out over the coming months.
@@Bugoutvehiclesukyour not wrong mate, exciting times ahead
@@simongeorge3643 That’s one hell of a compliment, thank you 🙏
@@TheAdamsOverlandCompany credit where it’s due mate 👏🏻
Refurbed my 90 seats xmas 2022. bought a kia soul as family runabout due to change in family circumstances , the landy refurb seats (britpart) alot more supportive. ok kia a 12 plate but leather and heated. Immight be a funny shape, still got and like the defender but the Kia pays for both at the moment. Landy used to be the daily J plate 90 300 tdi. Heavy duty side steps and if I am brushing them I should not be there haha!
Im such a bellend mate, only just realised you had a channel! Just subscribed.
😂 well nothing compared to yours but I do put stuff up.
Really enjoyed watching this walk around - I'm slowly converting my 110 into a camper after 10 years being my works vehicle. Would it be possible to get some more info on your water/fuel tanks that are underslung? Currently using jerry cans but would much rather carry the weight lower down :-)
Many thanks - Tim
Glad you enjoyed it. Head over to liams channel and I’m sure he will be adding more content.
@4:40 , is that a fox or a dog, sprinting from left to right, in the green zone in front of the Deefa?
Bloody good eyes pal. That’s a big dog.
Well done!
Curious if you’ve upped the engine performance at all. Remap or intercooler or any of the usual suspects, apart from the exhaust?
Thank you, if you head over to our channel you'll see we have just uploaded an engine and driveline video that should cover everything you need 👍
Wonderful folk, I want to book an overlander trip in the UK, but the ones I have seen all require me to have my own offroader, which I don't.. can you suggest companies that rent their vehicles?
Defender campers are in the south west. Iv not used them but I see there stuff on Instagram pop up. Also black rock adventure rent vehicles
love the scene lights..... brand? Great looking Overlanding Defender
You would have to ask him.
Labcraft 👍
Roof rack looks great but also heavy. What is the static and dynamic weight rating on the roof of a defender? Is it around 300kg and 150kg respectively?
150kg for puma, 75kg for previous generations. The rack weighs 40kg, so well within tolerance, Its not recommended to be carrying weight on the roof in general so the only thing that's supposed to be on there is lightweight kit, not the jerry cans and boxes upon boxes of equipment you see too many people doing.
Any small about of weight added by the rack is far outweighed by the versatility it adds. You can also see that when it’s in use it’s not overloaded.
@@Bugoutvehiclesuk If we are getting reeeeeally nerdy and technical, the rock sliders weight 30kg combined and the tanks when empty are 35kg combined, so I can get away with putting 20kg on the roof rack while empty on fluids and the centre of gravity would be the same as it having no weight on the roof from factory. It only gets better the more weight there is in the tanks, almost like a ship’s ballast. Now I know many people will read this and think the truck is going to be ridiculously heavy but I can assure you that it weighs 2760kg fully loaded with full overland/expedition kit and full tanks, meaning it’s still nearly 300kg UNDER GVM. Everything is thought out when we build trucks, you can throw money and clever kit on any wagon but keeping it well within safe tolerances is where a lot of people fall down. The Defender was “ Operation Lightweight “ and we definitely delivered 👍
Great build, which Land Rover yr and engine is the most reliable? this looks pretty solid did near the end fix any issues so last run build perfect or not really ?
The general consensus is the 300tdi is the most reliable but that’s because it’s got about as much power as an electric fan. The TD5 was ok, it makes its power a little high up the rev range for my liking and the electrics and moving parts are nearly a quarter of a century old now so it’s not exactly reliable either. The puma 2.4 was in my opinion an ok engine but it was very unrefined and had quite a few design flaws that were rectified in the 2.2. The 2.2 puma is my personal favourite of the bunch but some would consider both pumas unreliable, mainly due to pritty weak injectors that fail and blow through pistons, that said it’s a good motor that makes good power and can be a lovely drive. Conclusion - Land Rover never put a great engine in the Defender. Personally I should have OM606 swapped mine when i blew a piston
@@TheAdamsOverlandCompany om606 ? is this a more solid piston to make the defender more bullet proof? which mods do you think are essential for defender engine and camper build for round the world with driver who's not mechanically gifted lol ?
@@forwardprogressonly I blew my puma up and in hindsight i should have om606 the thing. Easy to work on, tons of power and very reliable. Camper wise a second fuel tank and a water tank mounted to the chassis are a great option, and then build a camper around those two systems.
@@TheAdamsOverlandCompany LIKE YOUR BUILD like the double tank and whats your max range you can go not stopping - think the 2 door hardtop way to go - was thinking put a light wide tray and build a tiny house with a door access to cab
@@forwardprogressonly5 door or 2 door are great platforms, the utility back with the huge gullwings is also a good option.
I can comfortably cover 600 miles at 80mph. If I call it down to 60/65 she’ll do just shy of 1000 miles before a refill. Which is more than enough for any overland vehicle
What would you rather have? This or his Pinz? For me it’s whichever I could stand up in!
Oh man that's such a hard question, for us the Pinzgauer is the ultimate, it's better on road, off road, living out of and way more reliable. But the Defender always has that Defender factor! The obvious answer is the Pinzgauer but never overlook the Defender because on the right day there is nothing on the planet that will give you a better driving experience!
I’d have the pinz for how cool it is but the 110 is such a practical car for daily life
PS got road raged November. Idiot punched window while open 1/2" and didnt break . so I wound them up before he had a second go and he may have caught top of frame which must have done wonders to his knuckles and couldnt kick door cause of steps. had left dashcam in Kia but the Landy kept me safe bham New road coseley. dont know if glass thicker in the 1990's.
Is that a dent on the side , opening scenes with the 2 of you 😢
You must be looking really hard to pick fault because I can’t see one 😂😂😂
Bottom of the passenget door there seems a line going up to the storage door.....at the 1minute and 5 second stage....not picking fault just wondered if its a panel line or a dent, if a dent then how gutted i would be.
