It's really great that they're making these lesser known episodes available to watch.
Harvey's bifocals performance was FANTASTIC.
And painfully true. 😊
Harvey’s talent was unbelivable! What a singing voice. Miss the talent of this era. RIP
Aha!!!!! Vicki sings her big hit in this one!!!!!
The Carol Burnett Show was the greatest!!! 👍
My love for this show will never end. I love HARVEY so much!
I agree
It will never end, thank you to the entire team
My mother in law passed away from breast and lung cancer on January 9th of this year, had it for 6 months, it happened so fast, went to her bones, brain, spine, intestines. She loved this show and watched it all the time. She was only in her late 50s 😭💔 miss her so much. She was a mother in law, grandma, mother, and friend. Gone way too soon. Cancer SUCKS. Hug your family and tell how much you love them. Id give anything to be able to sit with her in her kitchen and visit one more time.
I lost my daughter to cancer in 2018. Like your mom, the cancer started in her breast and spread very fast all throgh her body. I a sorry for yuur loss.💔
I’m so sorry to each of you…. I couldn’t imagine losing my child, nor my mother. Prayers for both of you 💕
I lost my best friend from stomach cancer in 1984 we were supposed graduate together in high school we were like sister
Blessings to you
Sorry for your loss! I lost my brother to colon cancer 10 yrs ago. 3 Yrs ago lost my sister to kidney cancer.. Cancer sucks big time.
Carol was so remarkably hilarious (arguably the greatest physical comedienne since Lucille Ball), it's easy to forget what an awesome singer she was as well.
Lucille Ball was her mentor. She appeared on Ms. Ball's " Here's Lucy" in addition another irony...Lucille Ball passed on 04/26/1989...which was on Carol Burnett's birthday.
AND actress AND dancer...
Remember, Carol had starred on Broadway in two musicals, before she got her TV show.
@@OofusTwillip Excellent point.
Wow that yellow dress is beautiful well before that !!!!😇
Vicki's debut of The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia is in this episode. Vicki was a kind, funny & genuine person when I met her several years ago.
Vicki still is. A friend of mine helped reissue her first two LP's with Real Gone Music in 2014.
But, she lip syncs
@@sherirobinson6867 everyone did back then.
Yeah I like that song too. The whole cast seems very nice. I like Harvey best tho. What a talented character he is. Every bit as good as Carol.
@@ChildofGodforevr Harvey Korman has a lot of talent, I agree. Loved his performances for Mel Brooks. The most talented person only became a full time cast member late in the series, Tim Conway!
Carol you are one of my Greatest fan❤💋😂😂😂
That boy was cute when he said that
Innocence, so beautiful 😂
The outfits she and Vicki wore that night… 🤪😍😍😍😍 Crazily BEAUTIFUL.. STUNNING!!!
That aubergine dress she wore 😍😍😍😍😍 I want one! It’s elegant and significantly shows a female’s figure. Lovely lovely lovely!
Vicki that’s one of my favorite songs & you sing it just right. What a great entertainer you are, comedy, singer, songwriter & much more. Love ya. Hugs.
I love this show
13:01 I would LOVE to see a compilation of all the “Carol and Sis” skits !!
Hey, finally I get to see the actual skit Harvey did, to the blooper first I saw for this bit - and very funny indeed.
I also picked up on Carol calling him "Mr Happy Go Lucky" - related to the story when Harvey threw a particularly nasty tantrum on a guest and Carol told him to change his attitude or she'd let him go. He changed his behaviour pretty quickly and Carol had a plac made up and hung over his dressing room door that said "Mr. Happy Go Lucky"
Even wind blown Carol is beautiful!
Carol was an underrated singer . Maybe it's because she's more known for her comedic skills
Couldn't agree more. I love hearing Carol sing.
Carol didn't think too much of her singing voice and I respectfully disagree! I think she was an excellent singer! ❤
@@randysills4418I used to love her Saturday Night Is The Loneliest Night In The Week and Meantime
Harvey is just awesome 👏🏻
I love all those “hellooo” hello hello hello ….lol
Up to this point I have never considered myself middle-aged although I passed forty. Thank you Harvey so much………….
Big crush on Harvey!
Hard to imagine isnt it? How did we get this old so fast?
40 year olds were a lot "older" back then.
Harvey Korman was absolutely incredible in the bifocal sketch!! That man could do anything!
Watching these shows fills me with mixed emotions. I laugh and appreciate them, but I also feel sadness when I realize what we no longer have in the world of TV. There isn't one prime time show on the major networks that I currently watch. Carol's show was just good fun for the entire family.
You're so right. I feel the same.
So true!
I'd b acting like Carol 2 if there was a hunk like Lyle around me.😁
I always enjoy watching these episodes. I wonder what it was like to actually be in the audience? Especially the the more ad lib performance
Didn't know this was a Vicky Lawrence orginal..what a excellent song and l believe it's been song over and over again by other artists...
So cool! Nice to see that it was obviously a treat for whole families to go out & attend tapings.
Gosh Harvey was wonderful!!
Carol Burnett is amazing.
It's always a pleasure to watch the Carole Burnett show. It's not only entertainment but with life wisdom too with excellent performers.
I love watching this all my life it make me laugh and happy Thank you for all the people that make the people 😊
“The Big 40” haaaaa
😂😂😂😂
I’d love to be 40 again !
Comedic geniuses.
This show always brings me laughter n feeling good. Nostalgia!!!
Thank you posting 😊
I Love Love ❤️ this show. Carol Burnett Show the best.
Bi focals is actually a very long song, remarkable. What an end it is. Koreman did a lovely time. M, IL
Carol was more beautiful than she’d give herself credit for
😊❤✝️
I watch these every morning with breakfast. I am so glad I get to see her again!! Love these!
Wow 😳 Night the Lights went out in Georgia, has always been my favorite song,,. I had no clue Vikki's husband wrote it !! Was Vikki the original artist?
I've only heard other artists sing it. I didn't start watching the Carol Burnett show until a few years ago.
Wow I never knew that it was Vicky Lawrence that sang the song. I remembered it in the seventies.
This is one of my favorite shows ever.😘😊
i love you Ms Burnett and friends.
I remember watching the last episode of the entire show. I think it was on Saturday night at about 8 or 9 central. I watched it every week. I was only 11. Even then I knew how special this show was.
9 central
Harvey’s parlor banter and singing says hes 40, yet he could kinda pass for 60. He was brilliant. Styles have changed but the songs message is still the same. Vickis song is pure camp. Her singing, with a southern accent, is hilarious.
It was a huge radio hit. I believe it was made into a movie in the late 70s. It isnt meant to be funny. Southern mystery songs were a thing back then. Check out the episode with Bobbie Gentry singing Ode To Billy Joe. It was a huge hit as well and they made a very successful movie based on it which starred Robbie Benson . It was a real shocker.
People looked a lot older back then.
@@debbielockhart7762 yup! Lol. and nowadays, people puff up and paint and freeze/disfigure their faces and somehow try to make us think that it somehow makes them look younger.
I have been waiting for this episode for a long time!
Hermoisisima!!
such a wonderful woman
Carol looks like a young Molly Ringwald in the beginning
Thank you
I never realized until this episode that Harvey reminds me so much of Jack Haley.... The guy that played the Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz. I think it's the eyes.
Is fabulous
Too bad we could not see the Ernest Flatt dancer's number.
Dammit, i looked this up so i could watch it again. And i'm really curious who did the instrumental - sounded EXACTLY like Emerson, Lake and Palmer!
Bifocals! Been there. Sung that!
I don't know what he's complaining about. I've been wearing specs since I was nine. C'est la vie.🤷♀️ Ask Marsha to order...💁♀️
4:31 nice.
Very nice show. The humer.is good. And realy funny
Are you serious?? Carol used to sing??? I’m only 37, i’m an 80’s and 90’s kid, this is WAY before my time, but damn! I had no idea. I’ve watched old episodes of the Sonny and Cher Show, I’m THE I Love Lucy expert, but this show… very much underrated for future generations.
Check out her "Naughty Rosemarie" parody of turn-of-the-century operettas in Episode 4.22. Not only did she make a great torch singer as we see here, but she could also pull off an ingenue soprano when the situation called for it.
In the thumbnail, I thought she was playing Lily Tomlin.
Good
(47:51) "I just blew the whole thing right in the hole..."
🤣
Excelente.... 😇😇😇
Genial... 👏👏👏
Excelent

Where's Patrick today? Sweetheart!
You need to fix how we hear; volume is up to 100% and can barely hear :(
Try with a Bluetooth speaker
If you listen, the name Andy is used to mean more than one guy. Andy this, Andy that - which one is/isnt Andy????
Bifocals is clever.
Bring ing big 3 back to. Detroit inspired by me saving Detroit art museum inspired by me water roads all blueprints good loving kind inspirations by me . Until devil s try and steal ur inventions
I'm sorry this for past this read but your title says something p you do for an extra game p.m.
Her version of burlesque, accidental??
Oaa
Bifocals were no big deal to me. I started wearing them when I was 28. My eyesight was---and is---that screwy.
Esta Les horizon gaza USA border
What movie were they parodying?
@JamesA.Romero ...the movie is 'Waterloo Bridge' (1940) with Vivien & Robert Taylor.
@@masters1313 Thanks!!
Bifocals!!! Lol
😂
My attitude too
another incomplete!
For Eurovision fans, now we know from where Carola got inspiration for wind blowing in her face stunt that made her win the Grand Prix in 1991,
Sweden "Fångad av en stormvind"
Listen to Vicki Lawerce sing that song on WNGC Athens Ga. So many time I knew every word. Great memory.
