Whelker farms the second farm that exist in Montana
As someone who has driven through this region of Montana quite a few times, this is very well made, has that feel of the Missouri as it flows through Montana.
This is very cool! To me, it feels like it will have the impact on the game like Elk Mountain, UMRV and a very few others do, giving one a sense of being in that place, farming those area-specific crops and living the life of someone who has lived there for many, many years. When your montage opened with the combines, my immediate thought was of a scene in one of Fast Ag Montana's videos that Tony Fast shot with a drone. Very cinematic and emotionally stirring!
glad you show Big Bud working his home territory ! I love driving through Montana and watching the barley harvest and it being loaded onto RR cars to be sent to barges on the Columbia river bound for China and my homebrew shop.

I live in Havre, MT, where the iconic "Big Buds" were manufactured and i live about 45 mins from there and the map model look pretty damn close to the real place, but it is definitely a nice place especially to go fishing 😊 he did an awesome job on it. And the music you chose for the outro was awesome as well. Love your vids. You ever make it up here to Montana let some of us know lol we'll give you a tour for sure 😊

Hello FSG. I have to say it again, your opening and closing montages are simply stunning. It’s like watching a movie at the theater. Great job! This is my kind of map. Big fields, big equipment. What an incredible job this gentleman has done. I have visited up that way several times and the map almost does it justice. There are these awesome expanses that go on forever. I could never live up there, winter is just brutal. Windy, cold and snow fall measured in feet. I’m definitely going to look this website up and get ready to download it. My new system plays these 4x maps at very high resolution and frame rates. Thanks for an incredible preview. This man knows who to call for an early walk through.

How is it that I recognized the place from the BigTractor youtube channel instantly. the 747 NAILED it. Awesome tour FSG. They do not call it BigSky Countru for nothing. I loved the Feedlot and how it was laid out. Seeing all those cows was something for sure. Seeing the BigBud with the huge drill in a field that just dwarfed it was the first time in FS that I have seen a 747 look small.. And those three combines on the edge of the mesa was what dreams are made of. This just goes to show, that as an FS Engin, the only thing that FS lacks is creativity. My hat comes off to "No Creek Farms" For the attention to detail, the roads, the grass, the borders. Perfect!!!!

I was on this map. Riding on an Indian motorcycle. Absolutely stunning and beautiful. It was quite refreshing seeing the detail on this map.

The scale and seeming sparseness of the landscape are so different to the UK maps I tend to play, but having watched Welker Farms on YT and driven around Montana in ATS it captures the spaciousness of the landscape so well. I haven’t played a US map in FS since Westbridge Hills but this may well be the one to entice me back stateside!
That map looks fantastic! I'm currently nearly 70hrs into a save on Gnadenthal, and this map preview is really making me think about starting a new save.

I've seen a few Montana maps over the years, but this is the first one that looks like what I remember. I spent five years in Billings, for flight school and then work. Flew and drove all over that state. This one gets it. I can't wait for this! I miss home.

The Missouri Breaks are really neat. One of my favorite areas that I worked.
Great editing on the opening sequence love the intro, this map looks stunning amazing how you can make a map like this look so good just by using different ground levels, I think No creek farms could really benefit from shouting out to Ola Haldor who made Rennebu especially with bringing life to the water and possibly with help getting the bushes to change with the seasons as Ola uses quite a few different programmes when he creates maps he is a very clever individual, will def take a look at this map when its ready, Great job FSG.

I can't remember the last time I've been this excited. Everything about this map is exactly true to life all the way to the signage for the conservation land.

Wonderful map and wonderful tour!
Just some additional information, the railroad line was a connection between Great Falls and Havre, MT. The section between Fort Benton and Big Sandy, MT, including Loma, was abandoned in 1983 by the Burlington Northern railroad due to instability in the railroad subgrade. A lot of the rail was very old too. Must not have been enough traffic to justify the repair costs.
Beautiful map. Once again another outstanding video FSG. The way they set up the livestock yard to some more animals was brilliant.
The only issue I see is that we are going to need a big bank account. I agree that this map will be one of the most memorable in FS22.

This is indeed a huge map, but I must say it is very beautiful. I'm actually not usually a big fan of American maps, they are always about big machinery, muscles, money and flashing off, not meant to be discrimination, just my view on it. That's why I mainly play on smaller maps and other countries. But I must say, this looks amazing and I love mountains and landscapes like this. So if the official version of the map is working well, I must say I'm tempted to try this map

Yeah I think it is needed to programming so it changes automatically, or else people won't do it. To much work when people isn't used to the possibility. Looks like a very beautiful map

No this would not be approved by Giants for the modhub so you would need to get it from the modders page. *Every* map I review has a link to it in the description, if it's an early preview I always put links to the modders socials so you can get the authentic and original download link direct from them once it's released.

No they release them publicly when complete, but while in testing and Beta stages they use Patreon to share info

as someone who been to montana for elk hunting few times its a beautiful scenery out their but cold nights and harsh winters get real ugly its not nice to ya i can say that from experiences
I've heard the winters can be brutal

But on maps like this, the giants engine/fs22 shows its age imo. I've never been a fan of the light green grass, but especially on maps like this the total pack with colours and the amount of them, and texture/tile repetition just ends up beeing a bit bland and pale. Big maps would have benefited from some proper fog, dust, and heat miragy etc to hide stuff..
Yeah I agree, I turned my graphics up to about 5x the default view distance to be able to get any sort of decent detail, it’s a shame as the modders could do so much more given a more powerful engine

I would actually like to see more of a natural ground for the animals, like a bit more grass and healthier for the cows, not just mud. Looks like just a production site for milk then straight to the butcher for meat
That’s fairly common in the US
@@TheFarmSimGuy i see. Here in Norway it's very strict to keep very good sorroundings for the animals. That's why it seems very bad for us look at this

Lately any new maps I download none of the buildings appear. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?
What mode are you starting in, if you start in farm manager that can be the case on some maps. The other option might be that there is an additional buildings pack you need to download, but it varies from map to map, so the issue won’t always be the same
I did the new farmer mode. I’ve had this issue on several maps even when they say download mods for this map to function properly.
When I loaded up Loma there was no roads, no buildings like nothing.
@@BEARJEW1234 Loma isn’t out yet so you’ve probably got a hacked, broken, stolen version of the map, my advice is only download from the modders page direct or from the ModHub, those sharing sites are garbage, you can get computer viruses and all sorts from them

What do you mean? In terms of buildings?
If this is epic,that makes half of fs22 maps epic.Yet this clearly has very poor 22 standard of roads ,yards etc,just a few very basic textures used all around the map.Yard design is very creative "lets slam in some silos and garages,done".
MA7 team,and couple others, has shown us how brilliant maps can be with some true effort to push the limits of giants engine.This is far from it,but i wish to see a good north american map in future.
It’s based on a real location, the slammed down silos and garages are close to the real life farms
