It’s also very important to be the friend you want. We tend to expect so much from our friends but fail to even be half that person to them .
This is not always true because I recently learnt that I have been a people pleaser which means I have been kind and loving but still never got any kindness or love back
I, at 28 decided exercising the cutting-phenomenon. It's refreshing to hear that someone feels like i do re: bridesmaids. I do not even desire a baby shower. My mom & my sis are my mains. The other 3 ladies in my life are my friends but i hold no expectations of them. I have been through the FIRE with friends. Jealousy, envy, two-facedness & competition. I'm grateful i am naturally an introvert and obsessed with my self-development. It's been 10yrs now. I'm a successful lawyer & entrepreneur. I do solo-vacation which i love. I paint, i do brunches with the girls now and them. My life is full. God never left even for a second!

Thank you for being a virtual friend, I'm in a season of being a lone right now and I feel like everything has come late for me in life, I mean I'm 32 and I'm still in Varsity when I should be working with a husband and a warm home to go home to at the end of the day. But I don't have non of those things but I know God is working behind the scenes.
Thank you for being human enough not to flaunt your luxury life to us all the time... Understandable it's part of your brand which is motivating but thank you for the advice and girl talks, women like myself need those the most especially coming from a woman I look up to.

Oh Mrs Mops thank you so much for this video... I also found out that I didn't really have friends ... they laughed with me but said horrible things about me behind my back... I have been so sad that I never leave the house because I didn't think I could have fun on my own... but now I know that this is the time for me to find myself ❤
It's painful in the moment, but the sooner you realise your friends aren't who they said they were, the better! 🤍
Felt like I was getting solid advice and wisdom from a big sister. The things you mentioned cannot be stressed enough. I think sometimes as women we know these things but vaguely understand them until it happens to you. May we always be reminded 🌸
sometimes when God isolates you to prepare for your lifting, I'm definitely sharing this with my friend who is getting married in 5 weeks and she is currently facing a this trauma with a group of girls. Not everyone is around you with good intentions indeed!
Also people should be willing to unlearn and relearn certain things in order to grow.

The truth in this. I can totally relate. Sadly we never see some behaviours coming. So sorry for the baby shower ordeal of “friends” not showing up. Amongst the people we surround ourselves with, you even wonder who would even attend your funeral when you’re no more.

This was a great video particularly for young women who are reaching certain personal and financial milestones and are learning to navigate changing friendship dynamics. There is so much guilt that comes with reaching certain milestones - sometimes you feel its important to suppress your achievements to not alienate others.

Hi Mpumi,this is very true about some friends.I have had to let go of friends because now I was the was always maintaining the relationships and I felt more like I was desperate to have that person in my life yet that's not true.Frienships are a two way streak.However,I still have my friends from varsity in my circle and it's a good feeling to grow together.

I thought I have a problem bcos I am too sensitive and I always respect people I thought they are my friends but when they undermine me and disrespect me and when they see other ppl they want to outshine you and make fun of you so I decided to protect my space to avoid toxic environments.

I am grateful for this episode because I was going through some emotional turmoil due to the friend of mine.She just rocked up unexpectedly and trust me I was happy to see her but the problem with this friend of mine is that she has this negative energy and whenever I am with her I get emotionally drained and I don't know how to end the friendship because she was there for me in times of trouble.I really love her but I have grown and evolved as a woman and I can't still be friends with negative people but I still don't know how to terminate the friendship.How do I do it dear?
