    Appreciate this! Was somewhat knowledgable about the Ghost from my old Lexus when I had someone else do my DRLs but going to attempt some tail lights for my new car so this was very helpful as far as the Matrix portion goes as well as the reverse light option. Thanks a bunch

    I dont have a Blueghozt to test on at the moment, so could you please tell me if any of the triggers will override the turn signal inputs? Or do the turn signal inputs have the highest priority?

      thanks. Hopefully it didnt get to technical. there was so much i wanted to cover. I tried to start that tutorial 3 times on different lights. I think ill do one on a set of tails at some point since the 5mm grid programing is a bit different.

      We sell a controller that has drivers that add a drl startup and sequential turns but they are set. Blueghozt is the only controller with anywhere near this level of control.

    Bought some tail lights that came wired with a blueghozt 2.0 that I hooked up to my battery. I want to wire them to a switch through that external input. Is it just power wire from external input to switch then power wire from switch to battery? Don’t have the most experience wiring but I want to be able to toggle a show mode without having to open the app every time.

    • @NextLevelNeo
      @NextLevelNeo  Pƙed 3 měsĂci

      That's pretty much it. The ghozt just needs a 12v input to turn shows on. A switch inline makes it easy to turn on and off.

    Just curious, what is DRL 2 (parking light 1 & 2) originally intended for?
    I just cant understand what secnario they might have intended it being used for originally .

    • @NextLevelNeo
      @NextLevelNeo  Pƙed 6 měsĂci

      It let's you set some sections as a 2nd color when drls are activated. I use it to make addressable demon eyes red and the rest of the light white, when drl is on.

    are the strips/halo/demon eye wired in parallel or series? and is that just a 2 output controller powering all of the different leds?

    • @NextLevelNeo
      @NextLevelNeo  Pƙed 8 měsĂci

      They are in series and it is just 1 ghozt controlling everything.

    If im wanting to use a auxiliary source to trigger my drl, say like a switched ignition source, but would like for my leds to play an animation when locking/unlocking car, by tapping into the parking light, should I tap the drl input into the brake input? I originally was gonna tap the parking light into the party mode, but from watching this video im assuming, party mode will just loop indefinitely, so that wouldn't be good for a quick animation for locking/unlocking. also, will signal over ride brake? for switch back, or is brake over riding everything?

    • @HAMMER_2.2
      @HAMMER_2.2 Pƙed 9 měsĂci

      Hey if you haven't found a solution to this yet, I'm kind of doing a similar situation to you.
      I wanted my alarm to play a cool animation when armed/disarmed (something other than the turn signal animations).
      What I designed was taking a signal from my lock and unlock wires( one wire from each, and diode isolating them to prevent cross signals) then send them both to a timer relay.
      The timer relay can be set for as long as it takes to complete one full show mode loop.
      Then send that delayed off 12v signal to the ext input and pick a showmode appealing to you.
      (For example, I'm gonna pick Line Dance).
      Now whenever I arm or Disarm my alarm it would play a single loop of Line Dance.
      This was my only workaround to getting a startup/Shutdown animation that's seperate from the parking light startup animation. I wish they would add the startup/Shutdown animation to Blueghozt, like is available on their Ghozt V5 Sequencer.
      If they did, you could use a Hella latching Relay and have a - Disarm signal Set the relay and - Arm signal Reset the Relay. 12v whenever your car is disarmed/unlocked.
      Just an idea for you !!

    How did you enable the brake? In app or hardwired? I have no wires going into my ghozt and i don’t want to open it up 😅 thanks

    • @NextLevelNeo
      @NextLevelNeo  Pƙed 6 měsĂci +1

      You will have to run the wires. Unfortunately the blueghozt can't connect to your car wirelessly.

      @@NextLevelNeotoo bad both brake and reverse have priority over show modes, tried hardwiring it to the 12v so it’s constant on but then it stay lit up with the DLR and everything off 😅

    Can you use the same 5mm led lights for DRL and brake light, or you can only define it as one or the other?

    • @NextLevelNeo
      @NextLevelNeo  Pƙed rokem +1

      They are defined by the section so you could split the 5mm so some are brake and some are drl color. The triggers have a hierarchy system so some inputs overpower others. If you have drl and brake on for a section the section will show the brake color.

    What is the legacy option?

    • @NextLevelNeo
      @NextLevelNeo  Pƙed rokem +1

      Totally forgot that. Fast mode was added to increase the led count limit of 260rgbw and 325rgb per channel. Fast mode takes it to 350rgbw and 425rgb. Unfortunately not all leds are compatible with fast mode so an option for legacy mode was added and set as the default. Only use fast mode if you need the extra addresses and if you are experiencing leds flickering or acting strange, switch back to legacy mode to test with.
